Excellent book. I love all of Stross's stuff. Got started with Accellerando, which I loved for how hot it made my brain run trying to wrap itself everything. :-) I'm actually reading Iron Sunrise right now, which is the last of his I haven't read, besides the "family business" fantasy series, which I'll probably read after this.

BTW, you can read Accelerando in it's entirety for free, under a Creative Commons license, at http://accelerando.org. Stross and Cory Doctorow continue to prove that giving your books away for free under a CC license is a GREAT way to create fans, who are happy to buy/tell people about your stuff. The biggest problem most authors/artists face is not piracy, it's obscurity.

I think its time Doctor Who finally grew up. Cut out the kid friendly bits, amp up the gore & bring on some really scary creatures. Continue the Infinite Quest style cartoon in a kid friendly direction. Everyone will be happy.
Or more important than scary creatures push a whole new level of realism (I know!) along with harder scientific concepts (tweaked for dramatic use) in a darker atmosphere. Which is to say: I'm glad Steven Moffat is taking over the show full time.
