Dude, these don't have great sound. I've got a pair sitting 2 feet away from me on my desk. If you want great sound, get the Turbines instead of the Beats (also from Monster.) If you want amazing sound, get the Beats by Dre Studio headphones. Those are my headphones of choice :)
- Andru Edwards
Headphones? I don't see any headphones. ;)
- Grey Drane
That's quite a nice headphone there. *wink* *wink* ;)
- AJ Batac
i've got to over-the-head pair and i have to say this is some of the best sound i've ever encountered in headphones. the lo bass is amazing. the only drawback on the over-the-head is that you have to use batteries and remember to turn it off and on.

Those need to be on my head, like now. What are we talking about?

If she continues to stick her pumps in her mouth and become a joke, her chances to move up and trade on her fame will disappear.

WTF? Are you kidding me? Why is nobody paying attention to what is being filmed? This is pretty retarded.. both on the camera guy's part and Palin's part.
- Maria
Wow dude..that's one way to skin a rabbit.
- Josh Haley
Anika, you rock the house tonight with this post. Just sayin'

If you don't want to watch, here's the essence: When asked by the reporter why she accepted the invitation to visit the Turkey Slaughtering operation Palin replies (as the Turkey kicks its last kick: "I'm happy to get invited to participate in this....for one you need a little bit of levity in this job."
- David HC Soul
She continues: "Certainly we'll probably invite criticism for even doing this too, but at least this was fun." I guess if she ever does make it to the White House, we can expect to see the end of the traditional "Presidential Turkey Pardon" in favour of a news conference highlighting one Turkey meeting its destiny.
- David HC Soul
I agree with Josh - this has the chipper scene in Fargo written all over it. There's another strange Gestalt going on, it's like a reverse "Wag the Dog" (Dustin Hoffman) - the camera shot's perfect, the banal Q & A is juxtaposed with animal slaughter in progress + the bloody-pants farm hand peers on-and-off at the camera, with a knowing expression: "You getting all this?" The only irony left to settle requires an answer to this: Were the work pants courtesy of a recent donation to charity?

As a non native speaker i just recognized one of the few assets in contrast to the many drawbacks that I experience normally. I watched the video while reading the comments in this ff posting and did not focus on translating what she was talking about, just recognized her nonverbal communication. And imho she is acting like a selfish attention whore, pleased by beeing filmed beside any values/responsibilities. I am pretty sure she will be far more expenive to her supporters than anyone imagines today..

"By Eric Reuters SECOND LIFE, August 12 (Reuters) - Doug Thompson loved Second Life from the start, but there was one aspect he hated — its notoriously clunky user interface. “The Second Life interface sucks,” he wrote on his blog, recalling his first days. “Which will lead to the next sacred cow, which is that the newbie orientation experience sucks.” ..."

God I can't WAIT for this to come out. For those not familiar with the series, it was a short bit with Samuel L. Jackson as the lead. Great series, and this game will undoubtedly be epic.

Wow. Great character design. Very similar look/feel to the anime. Kind of sepia toned and felt almost hand drawn.
- Ňicķ
Some games you just have to own "on principle". Looking forward to adding this to my library. The cell shading is tight and I hope there is some added depth to the story as well.

My friend from Japan recently shared with me she knows the creators of this series. I only saw a few episodes but was surprised at how violent it is but it is the creator's art.
- Jennifer
@thejenntafur "..was surprised at how violent it is.." Really? This is par for the course in terms of Anime. Quite a bit of it is violent (and this is tame in comparison to some series I have seen before). Not everyone produces Tonari-no-Totoro happiness :) BTW -- if you've seen only a few episodes, you probably saw all of them (there are only 5).
- DYKC?™
Remember, we're Americans, violence is ok, it's teh sex we can't handle

I haven't heard this song in ages, still love it. Thanks V!

Ever listened to Minor Threat? One of Ian MacKaye's previous bands. Great band, number 9 on my Last.fm top artists list... Oh, just noticed that the the new Last.fm design is now official, on for everybody. Nice. http://last.fm/user...

It blows my mind when ever I come across anyone who knows of Fugazi.
- Brendan McCue
great song....ever heard that band one last wish that guy piccioto from fugazi was in before he was in fugazi? they were so great and so sadly forgotten!
- mike
oh man, great song, that brings back some memories.
- Sawyer
Seeing Fugazi play this song at The Roseland actually, seriously, changed my life when I was 17.
- Timothy Shey
Every time I hear this song I end up endangering my hearing and my speakers.
- Jason Wehmhoener
I'm pissed that I grew up in DC and only saw Fugazi one time... what a wasted opportunity. But I did own a leather jacket that used to belong to Ian's brother Alec; and my sister is good friends with all the straight edge crowd -- so that almost makes me cool by affiliation.

Seesmic adds Creative Commons, and while I support CC, the notion of needing to put a license on conversation is kinda weird (as Obstructionist noted). Imagine having licensing in a chat room. Is conversation a product? All Rights Reserved 2008, etc etc.
I hope I'm not breaking any TOSes by talking about this, heh. But seriously, disable the embed tags or the hyperlinks if it's a problem. BTW, it seems that if you'd put restrictions on your video conversation, it might have the same vibe as those companies that FORBID YOU TO HYPERLINK TO THEM and try and sue and such. Is that what we've become?

mainstream game console news VS niche video blogging/communication tool news. ;)

I'm not following the CC stuff but am aware of it. You (and, apparently Seth, as his his style) make good points. Seems to me we either are out there or we're not. Choose. Licensing public comment is about as silly as presuming we have some control over others' impressions of us. We just don't, although we sure want to believe.
