Not judging perspective, but Bush was proud not to listen to news and katrina happened under his nose. They had to basically put a You Tube style of clips in front of him so he could figure out what was happening. If she says 1 particular newspaper, then people will drill down on that paper and assume that is the only place she gets her information from... and if she says 1 newspaper, the moment she has an opinion about something all media will be able to link it to one newspaper and its potential biases.
