"I would not recommend anyone to read Hornets’ Nest who has not read the previous two,"

I have torn out this review from the newspaper edition as I don't want to read it before finishing the book. I definitely agree with this sentiment. Not only would the 1st 100 pages be pretty boring if you hadn't read the previous novel, the next 100 (all I have got to so far) require detailed knowledge of what has gone before. Fantastic read, though! BTW, Nicci at Quercus mentioned that Barry Forshaw has reviewed this book in the Express (? Express?!) - in case you want to link here. Last week sometime?

I have peaked as it through my fingers. Yes she did say Express. Not sure if they have an much of an online presence. Last week I dissuaded a customer from taking out TGWPWF without reading THWTDT just because there will only be 3 and you may as well read them in the correct order. Unfortunately she's still waiting for Dragon to turn-up.

She should shell out for it! Dragon was 2.99 in a Smiths promo the other week (and though you are supposed to buy The Times for that they never make you), and I see it at 3.99 or 4.99 quite often. A snip, as I am sure people will be re-reading this trilogy (I will be).
