From what I've noticed: When I'm at the first page of 2, I only see those markers on the map...from the people that are on the first page. Do you know what I mean? I'm added on the second page, so when I browse through the first page I won't see my marker on the map...only when I go to the next page. I very much agree that being choosy is the key to Twitter. I agree with Robert (duh!). I very briefly made the effort of checking out the new follows and deciding whether to follow back. I think once I hit a thousand I shifted to a model of occasionally saying, "If you want me to follow you, talk to me." Hit two thousand and quit saying anything or checking followers. I don't care if they follow me as long as they either say useful things like real people or don't talk at all. I've never autofollowed back. This strategy works for me. - Patricia F. Anderson

I have a large difference between people I follow (around 2000) and people who follow me (around 1800) - I choose people who are important sources of information. People choose me if they think I am an important source of information to them. I never thought it would have to be a one-to-one relationship as to who is useful to whom: some are informative, others are good listeners and learners. Many people have been talking about how Snow Leopard's footprint is 6GB less than Leopard and how amazing that is. While that is certainly great, it's not some Apple wizardry at work. While I'm sure there are many efficiency gains in Snow Leopard, this is most likely the result of the fact that it doesn't support PowerPC architecture.

I don't recommend anything above tiger for PPC anyway. It was after the release of tiger that the last PPC was discontinued and you have to figure that PPC optimizations were last on the list for Leopard. - dthree

That sucks but the user definitely wasn't smart. Having no backups is asking for trouble. I don't even believe that having one backup is safe. My belief is that if a file doesn't exist unless it's in three places (one of which is offsite). - Mike Bracco

Steve C: True although if using the right tools, you don't even have to think about it. I use Time Machine which does it's thing without me thinking about it. I use BackBlaze which does offsite and runs in the background without me having to think about it as well. I haven't tested this but, how exactly are you determining audio file types, just using the file extension. If so there is a work around with a simple file rename, an example would be if you change an .mp3 to a .pdf and let people rename it once it becomes local on their machine. EDIT: This workaround would also allow video to be transferred. - Jimminy Fuller
