The new service Futz.me lets me interact with Evernote in a cool new way directly from the browser's URL bar. Combining futz.me and firefox's keyword bookmarking I can send a link, photo, file or text note to my Evernote email (and from there to Evernote) by just by typing it in the URL bar.
I've set my keyword to 'm', so I can type something like: m remember to go shopping . The note gets sent straight to Evernote. So far I've been using it as a quick way to write a journal entry. You can also send links or pictures (and files I think). After you sign up for Futz.me (using your Evernote email) follow the steps laid out by the poster "Vanchi" here, to set up a keyword bookmark: http://lifehacker.com/5283731... - David Adam
I'm not sure if this sort of functionality is new, but I've found it really useful. Its sort of like a command line interface to Evernote implemented in my browser bar. - David Adam
Thanks for posting about Futz.me. That is an interesting service. I started setting up and then realized that I probably wouldn't use it more than I use the EN bookmarklet anyway (and I have more control with that, especially over what notebook my notes end up in). I may find a good use for it, though. Maybe from my Android phone that can't use the bookmarklets. - Lindsay has no Buzz.
I think I'm gonna play with Futz.me. For Evernote, I'm note sure, maybe its a good fit though. - manielse (Mark Nielsen)
