One of the things I like about Evernote is that I don't have to back it up! There is a copy of the database on my computer and on the Evernote servers, both kept constantly in sync. Am I missing something here?

@MIke - true that there is redundancy, but like I say in my post, I am paranoid about data-loss. Also, page 8 of their guide mentions backing it up should you lose your local copy or want to share it with somebody (versus the export to XML feature). Link: http://www.evernote.com/about... Additionally, I think I saw one of the advertising sponsors had a product that backed up Evernote. Just because it is in the cloud doesn't mean a multitude of bad things couldn't happen to your data. I am not sure what Evernote's backup plan is if my local copy becomes corrupted and starts to replicate to bad data to their servers. And finally, I failed to mention that I am using 3.5 Alpha so who knows what bugs might pop up.
