Thales Alenia Space is the company which was born after Thales had bought the participation of Alcatel in the two joint-ventures between Alcatel and italian Finmeccanica, Alcatel Alenia Space and Telespazio. Another department, Thales Nederland, was formerly known as Fabriek van Signaalapparaten and once occupied by the Nazis, obviously to obtain some significant knowledge- in my speculation, for the first important *module* of Tesla-Directed Energy Weapons. There is also ThalesRaytheonSystems, a joint venture between Raytheon Thales Group of France. It was formed a few weeks before 9/11, in June, 2001. The company was established for the purpose of combining the radar and Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence or C4I systems efforts of the two firms. The name "Thales" was possibly inspired by Thales of Miletus [now Aydin Province, Turkey], historically the first philosopher in the Greek tradition.

Spacebus is a satellite bus produced at the Cannes Mandelieu Space Center in France. After having been the Satellite Division of Aerospatiale, then Alcatel Space in 1998, then Alcatel Alenia Space in 2005, the CMSC center is now part, since 2007 of Thales Alenia Space and the headquarter of the company. Aérospatiale had produced a number of satellites, including Symphonie, with the German company Messerschmitt [known primarily for its WW II fighter aircraft], which is now part of EADS Germany. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... Since the 1980s, 52 Spacebus satellites had been launched. A satellite bus or spacecraft bus is the general model on which multiple-production satellite spacecraft are often based.
