“Feature Request: When people "Reshare" a link on FF, instead of saying "Reshared" it should say "Reshared by _______" or "via _______" so the original poster gets auto credit. Very obvious must-need/no-reason-not-to-add-that-I-can-see type of feature”
It's up? I'm listening to some Miss Janet "Got till its Gone"♬♫ - Mona N.
ok, i'm officially a Mona fanboi now - i tried to stay off the wagon but just.can't.do.it. - Morgan
hmmmmm it's not uploading =( @Morgan, ludicrious! no such thing as 'fanboi' or 'wagon', since there wasn't one to begin with =\ - Mona N.
@Mona - you're like the FF queen! everyone <3's you! it was a compliment :P - Morgan
....i don't take compliments well, get flustered, then say really dumb things, when i could've plain and simply said "thank you" but like um... ya... i...get..like..... case in point UGH =| - Mona N.
I can't wait for the day that the Internet will be just as pretty. :) - possible248
Didn't I see this on an episode of Dr. Who recently? - Lindsay Donaghe
reminds me of when I was a kid and decided I was going to read all the fiction books in the library. So I checked out the first five books. Nope don't remember a one. - Ruth Ferguson
Ruth, you have no idea how glad I am to know that I'm *not* the only kid who tried to read the library! - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
The Seattle Central Library was my favorite thing to shoot in Seattle on my recent trip. I *love* beautifully designed libraries. - Thomas Hawk
I'd like to have every room setup as a library, I love the big old houses with the fireplaces and libraries seems very Vincent Price. My 2 favorites that I've been to ar the Biltmore Estate and JP Morgan Musuem - clarke thomas

there is something romantic and powerful about beautiful libraries. To me they're the real world treasure chests of endless possibility. - Morgan
Whoaa..... lock me in with some food, a bed & bathroom, then throw away the key. Thanks. - Louie
I love libraries, this is a treasure. - susan mernit
Incredible, thanks for sharing. +1 Czar. - Aaron Krug
Oh, God. I am in love. Well done, Czar. - Steven Perez
Gosh! Beautiful analog storage devices - Chris Loft
I'm oddly pleased that almost 90 people have marked this as a like. Says something about the FF community if you ask me (which of course you didn't). - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
This is a great list to use to add places in the world to my map of things that I still need to shoot. So many beautiful libraries. - Thomas Hawk
Whoaa! Nice finding, Derek. Thanks for sharing. - LouCypher
I've actually been to quite a few of these all across Europe, and they're even more awesome (and smell FANTASTIC) in person. Some are considerably smaller than the photos make them appear, which is always interesting (kinda like the church in the wedding scene in The Sound of Music...it's seems huge on film, but it's really this dinky little chapel filmed wide and high). Really great to be reminded of those visits. Thanks for posting this. :) - abacab
This is an awesome set of photos. Proud to see my alma mater's Riggs Library included in the list. - Ryan Kuder
at one point in my life, i moved the entire collection of books at the Peabody in Baltimore. not necessarily a fun job but it is exciting knowing that the collection will more than likely sit where i put it for the next twenty years. - Nathan Eckenrode
i 100% support the new redhead meme! - Trent Olson
Curses! FriendFeed has discovered my lone weakness! Retreat! - Steven Perez
I like your style of photography! Us redheads are finally coming up in the world!! I've always loved getting professional photos taken of me, it's too much fun!! - Sheryl
“Simple goodness: Put chicken breasts in glass baking dish. Pour about half a bottle of ponzu sauce over chicken. Cover dish with tinfoil. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Nom.”
It's great by itself but would be awesome in a salad with mandarin oranges and a light vinagrette. Maybe some dried cranberries in there too... or sun-dried tomatoes. And with a little feta sprinkled on... - Lindsay Donaghe
Ok, now I'm hungry. Another simple goodness: In a zip lock bag: Chicken + grated ginger, garlic, soy sauce, a little lemon, ketchup, oyster sauce, and Japanese Wooster (don't know how to spell it) sauce. Marinate 30 minutes and bake. YUM - Mona N.
do the same, 'cept use half a bottle of italian dressing, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, grated parm, and marinated olives. nom! - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
Italian dressing is the best staple marinade ever. My "always perfect steak recipe": In a square glass baking dish lay out 2 steaks, put steak salt on both sides (not a lot, rub in a bit). Douse in Worcestershire sauce (both sides, rub in a bit). Pour about half a bottle of Italian dressing (enough to almost cover, spread some on top of the parts that aren't). Broil for about 15 minutes, turn over and broil for another 15 minutes or until you like it. It always turns out flavorful and juicy. - Lindsay Donaghe
@Mona - I've never seen Japanese Worcestershire sauce... is it much different than the non-Japanese kind? - Lindsay Donaghe
Definitely saving this thread for later :) - ♫ Rahsheen™
MUST.FIND.COOKING/RECIPE.ROOM!!! Lindsay: I gotta try that steak recipe! - Louie
I will have to try this with some chicken thighs after I get back from our mini-vacation. All the cool kids are eating chicken thighs these days. Maybe that was just me. :) - ha3rvey
It's probably property of the stock photo agency and/or photographer. - Daniel Schildt
Daniel: There are so many 1,000s of copies of this picture online though (TinEye had 47 pages. I've never seen so many before)... I'm not sure if it comes from Stock Photos because I don't know the webshots.com site. Webshots seems to be a really annoyingly-designed site. - Mitchell Tsai
Not surprised there are lots of copies. That is freaking gorgeous. - Lindsay Donaghe
Lindsay: Yup. Sometimes I wonder why I can't take pictures like the gorgeous ones on the internet...lots of learning to do. :-) They're inspiring. - Mitchell Tsai
the wedding picture. the guy on the horse statue in the water fountain. omg. hilarious. - Christine Lu
Sorry - Tad's been busy CODING. I only photobomb any photos lindsay's trying to take... and i do that all the time until she punches me... and then a couple times more. - Tad, Fool
Dude, so what'll happen if photobombers take a group picture? Imagine me, you, Chris P in a picture together? Wow. Terrible. - Mona N.
The girl in the first photo above looks like she is so in to appearances she would literally murder the making the gookie. - Brian Norwood
my favourite is the one with the toilet paper in the foreground -- if you've already got a roll of tp in the frame, why not photobomb it? - Trent Olson
Neato! I tried to make one of these "by hand" a log time ago when I went up to Seattle frequently that had all my favorite restaurants within walking distance of the office. It was cool but a lot of work. This makes it easy. - Lindsay Donaghe

This is pretty cool. Like the article pointed out, there are often times where a paper map is more useful/convenient. - Louie
Yeah, the Star Wars prequels really were poor films. Something like "Children of Men" is much better film making, and without all the spaceships and crap. Special Effects films are kind of like hair bands and heavy metal guitar solos. They replace the art with the machinery of artifice. - Dean Terry
So good. they should have done this to him after the first three (made). - Morgan
My theory on the prequel v original= the orginal trilogy was so open ended - it expanded the mind into this universe beyond imagination. Even in the first one - Obi Wan discusses The Clone Wars with little or no "dumbing down." A real conversation - like explaining to a teen ager old WW2 or Vietnam stories. But in the prequels - everything was dumbed down, explained - that massive universe from the first three was shrunk down and tied up all nice and neat. The mystery died - and so did the luster.... - George Smith
Many bothons died to bring us these photos - Josh Haley
I'm not sick of Star Wars...how could you ever get sick of that? I'm sick of the crapified versions of Star Wars that Lucas foisted on us in the last 10 years in order to sell merchandise. - Alex Scoble CISSP
that Indiana movie wasn't good either. I did REALLY like "The Phantom Menace" though,,, but his batting average is not what it used to be. - ⓃⓄⒶⒽ ⒹⒶⓋⒾⒹ ⓈⒾⓂⓄⓃ
I wish I could admit to the situation I was in when I first saw Awesometown but it was the perfect introduction. My friends and I still quote it constantly. - Akiva Moskovitz
"Liked" just for the flower pics. I swear. - Tad, Fool
Wow, thank you for turning me on to Flickr user Dark Daze!! - Louie
Tad, I am faving a lot of flower pics lately. Sunflowers especially. Something about sunflowers -- it's almost an instant fave reaction when I see one. - Michael Hocter
That really gets on my nerves too. I saw that a lot in Mississippi - signs would say things like: Smith Family "Reunion." And I'd wonder what does that mean? It's just kinda sorta like a reunion? Or one like: Lambda Alpha Sorority "Inc" - what the heck are those quotes for? What is an incorporated sorority anyways? - Tad, Fool
No passive aggressive notes room on FF yet? C'mon people! - Pete Delucchi
My favorite passive aggressive sign at work: "Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink, especially dishes from the Cafe which are not supposed to leave the Cafe anyway." - Michael Hocter
Thats older than a the oldest Twinkie, but just as good. ;P - Andrew Baron
I was taught when you ever see quotation marks in the middle of a sentence like that, you can replace the marks by just saying "so-called" instead. So: Please so-called do not use staples for posting. - Pete Delucchi
I want to give this person a metal. (Please note: That was a "joke.") - Bill Barol
although I am definitely "not" ^^ passive aggressive, I have to admit that I once wrote notes like this when I was living in a commune. But I "never" used quotation marks like "this". "Very" funny ;-) http://www.passiveaggressiveno... rocks. - ※Fu※
Not to mentions "these" are not quotation marks even. “These” are real quotation marks. - Tsega Dinka
omg I totally say "quote foo" all the time to emphasize - or more often make light of - a topic of discussion as in "that's a great quote strategy." a lot of the time I even do the air quotes thing with my hands, sometimes instead of saying "quote." :\ - Jon Price
@Jon .. and yer still alive .. amazing :) - Steven Hodson
i love the penciled in arrows pointing to the quotes just in case you didn't "get it" - Morgan
@jon but do you say "quote blah blah blah unquote" or "quote unquote blah blah blah"?? - Morgan
@Morgan, right?! Also, some highlighter action would be great! - Anna Haro
@Anna highlighter is a must here! someone clearly dropped the ball... :) - Morgan
@Mike - The “Blog” of “Unnecessary” Quotation Marks is one of my favorite websites! - Corie "Viper" Jones
a word-nerdy friend of mine has that on his bumper. - Madsimian
man, we need so many signs like this at my job for a variety of other errors (e.g. "anniversary's" instead of anniversaries. I even put a post-it with "ies" over the "y's" and they still didn't change it). it drives me *nuts*. I work with such slow people. - Kamilah Gill
