Leaves are down, Northeast winds, gray skies...yes winter is coming in the N.E. Love it...Bring on the snow and the holiday decorations. Time for the Christmas show at Radio City...it's Christmas in NY time almost...Magical...

today's dinner was brought to me by remixed left overs. left over peppered beef from tuesday, remixed and made into peppered beef stroganoff.....with brussel sprouts (the world's most perfect food, don't you judge me!!) and cranberry sauce left over from yesterday. yum. :)

so. someone clued me in on the fact that today is apparently a national (international???) sandwich day, which is ridiculous.....but a good enough excuse to cook. this is an open faced peppered beef sandwich with whipped potatoes and tomato pepper gravy.

anika, i've not read Ilium, but will put on my list. : ) for me, it was between the wild things and juliet, naked (nick hornby) and i was leaning toward juliet, naked because after the last dave eggers book i read, i was a bit put off, but i loved a heartbreaking work of staggering genius, so i thought i'd give him another shot. we'll see. :)
