Agree... I always find myself clicking on nonexistent links to find more info. - Juan Pablo González
I wonder about this also. I seem to get these spikes all the time and the views of the top viewed pix don't seem to correspond with the spike. - gfurry
this happened to me last week as well. my most recent public photo has been viewed over 800 times, but none of them have been credited to my total view count. perplexing. : ) - carlotta fancypants
Hopefully Flickr will extend their analytics package -- need more numbers plz! - Shey
I could never figure out Flickr stats -- there seem to be a whole bunch of conflicting, irreconcilable numbers. That being said -- isn' t there enough info in the referring stats to tell you where the traffic comes from? - Brian Sullivan
the flickr referrer list might give you a hint - any surprise referrer? - Joelle Nebbe
I would like to see better stats/analytics for PRO members too...make me feel like I'm getting more for my $--even if it's artificial differentiation. - Josh
omg that's so true... i found out that this pic of my cat licking his balls was quoted on some really random japanese blog amongst other cat pics resulting in a spike. WTF internet ... WTF! - Snipergirl
doesn't the referring link on that photo show you where the large number of views are coming in from? - Thomas Hawk
If it's the same thing that happened to me last month, it's 1 or 2 views of every photo on my stream in one day. Referrers didn't help - in fact I never did figure it out. - TreJack
It only does so for the last day. The analytics package is very weak compared to say what Google Analytics can do. Heck, if Flickr allowed Pro users to enter an Analytics account number for their pages, that would be a huge win. - Jauder Ho
We all just gotta remember that Flickr's first and foremost priority is their site/app. They've never been the go to guy for analytics software. - Rich Harris
Are you kidding? Google will be cannibalizing its Picasa product (though who cares any more about Picasa) by enhancing Flickr, a Yahoo product. Unfortunately for Google, Yahoo does own some nice intellectual property which suffers from some Yahooness in terms of anemic features. - Glenn Batuyong
It seems to be spread across a lot of my photos. Only a handful of my pics have had this amount of views in total. - Chris Nixon
Not a heavy flickr user but I totally agree with you - AJ Batac
I think it must be a glitch. None of my most popular photos had particularly large views on that date, - Chris Nixon
the overall referrals should show a spike of that size. Very doubtful it was internal within flickr. - Ryan Brenizer
Seriously I had the exact same thing happen last month. Every photo in my stream got two or three hits, with nothing in the referrals. The stats don't go back that far, so I can't research it now, but I'll be curious if you figure out what happened... - TreJack
I'm going to have to check them out just for that name! - Ladybug Heather
i can not listen to their version of this song without feeling like i'll cry. i have a version (not sure which this is) where you can hear their breaths very clearly and it just kills me (i mean, not for real because i'm still here, but you know what i mean) - carlotta fancypants
They are good. You may have heard Different Stars and not have known it. They are sort of... Portishead meets Hem. Trip-hop, downtempo, but shoegaze and dreampop elements and vocals that could be at home doing alt-country. - Michael W. May
Those are my faves too, Anna! Love the colors of some others, but really love the natural stuff. - Lisa L. Seifert
Lisa, I could seriously stare at these ALL day...lol - Anna Haro
the tree/snow/fence series is so lovely to me. like you, i could stare at the one in particular for hours. thanks for sharing, anna. <3 - carlotta fancypants
How heavy is a chicken wig? How do we know? Is it a short-hair wig or a long-hair wig? How do I know how many bald chickens I can help with an 8-lb. bag? - Scott from Canada
I'm confused. Are those wigs for chickens, or wigs made of chickens? - ha3rvey

Husband-and-wife duo APAK (Aaron Piland and Ayumi Kajikawa). "The couple lives in a cottage in the leafy Northwest, making paintings of happy creatures while tending to their blooming individual illustration careers. Their adorable, enviable collaboration as APAK results in sweet and fluffy works featuring critters and rainbows rendered in a style merging animation with Superflat, and using a palette rich enough to brighten any rainy day." - Anna Haro

I love black licorice, but I rarely see it in vending machines. Black Twizzlers are crap though. - Robert Haas
Ew, you too? Black Licorice should be banished. - Mona N.

I love black licorice but I don't want to see it in vending machines. Since it's not as popular, it's likely anything they stock in the machine will likely be sort of stale. - April Russo
Recently, the vending company in our office decided to pull the machine from every other floor. Their reasoning was low sales, so things were going bad. Which was a bald-assed lie because the machines were frequently empty... the only things left were the crap that no one ever bought. - Yolanda ♥s Nuttycakes
"For those who hanker after the bygone glamour of the mid-20th Century, this retrospective of vintage prints by the forebears of commercial fashion photography will no doubt hit the spot. Simple, classic, elegant - these are beautiful images of beautiful people wearing beautiful clothes: the basic recipe that we're still falling for to this day. Among the pedallers of these aspirational images were Horst P. Horst, he of the oft-imitated Mainbocher Corset (see the music video of Madonna's Vogue for one), Life photographer Nina Leen, and Vogue regular William Klein. Whatever you want to call their work - be it art, advertising or both - you've got to admit it's gorgeous to look at." - Anna Haro
LOL...Internet music snobs, "My tastes are so out there. You probably woudn't have heard of them. Oh you have.? Well, I liked the first album but after that they went downhill." - Anika Malone
Hehe. I do love Diesel Sweeties. Been following it for ages. The creator is seriously psyched that the T-shirt with "that" Venn diagram is going to appear on the I.T. crowd. :-) - Slippy Lane
