"I don’t live in Detroit but I was a local truck driver there for almost nine years. It’s sad how the city has deteriorated but there are some pretty cool people there too. I’ve always enjoyed the city and have had little trouble in Detroit. I’m hoping they can keep getting rid of the crooks running the city (jailing politicians) and start cleaning up the streets. I have some pictures that look like war zones from as recent as last year. I still have hope for Detroit but it’s going to take years. Great point about knowing your neighbors John.
