"Had an IBM Clone, 8088 with 256kb RAM, CGA Monitor (holy four colors Batman), 40MB hard drive, that's right 40MB, it was top of the line, and by golly that hard drive was partitioned in two. Why you say? Because we could never use that kind of space."

"I think most guys simply want to know you're interested at all. We don't like the head games or the seductive glances. Most of the time, we don't notice those things. Give us a clear sign. Let me repeat that, a CLEAR sign that you interested and most of us will fawn over you."

"Ok so, after a but of googling, I found two more articles that have a bit more information. [The Independent](http://www.independent.co.uk/news...) and [The Guardian](http://www.guardian.co.uk/educati...) Both have a bit more information than the BBC article. It looks as though the Safety rules that was broken was: they were supposed to use goggles and gloves while handling the Plaster of Paris (makes sense) but failed to do so. Also, as read from the BBC article as well, the school failed to report the incident. Not in any article did they mention anything about not warning the students. On another note, it looks like the exact same thing happened in a previous class. This makes it so much worse for the teacher. You'd think that having it happen once before would have made the teacher a bit more aware of what the students were doing so it didn't happen again."

"Where does it say in the article that the students were NOT warned of the dangers prior to working with the plaster? All I see is where it is stated what the procedures of the assignment was. For all we know, the students were indeed warned, but Jane von Douche was busy txting her friends in the class next door about how lame the project is. All I'm saying is, everyone is assuming that no one was warned ahead of time, when that cannot be discerned from the article."

"From the article you cited: "Gas is used in five US states. Cyanide interferes with the human cells' ability to carry oxygen. Scientist Christopher Cooper described the pain as a combination of brain seizure, heart attack and asphyxiation. Prisoners can minimise the pain by breathing deeply, but in practice this is very difficult " Followed by: "Having ruled out all four methods, mainly because there was a risk of pain, Mr Portillo looked at an alternative, the deprivation of oxygen - hypoxia.""
