I might, and then I'd be in such a stupor I'd forget. But at least I would have caught 8-1/2 on my Fellini autorecord list, realizing something about my viewing preferences in the process: I have an HD but commercialized (and possibly edited) version I recorded a while back but haven't watched, but I'd rather watch the letterboxed SD commercial-free version coming up on TCM. - Tinfoil 2.0

I'd take letterboxed uncut SD over cut HD any time. HD is great, but not at the expense of, like, the whole thing in original aspect ratio. - Jandy

Truly. The HD version was letterboxed on Ovation, but still not worth the interruptions and possible edits. I really don't understand why many other HD movie channels still don't usually show proper aspect ratio, they must figure that it's OK since they're not throwing away as much as they were in the pan-and-scan days. - Tinfoil 2.0
