Hmm...not sure if they would be up to the task. I'm on google wave as far.wyde tho. When do you start getting ability to invite?

So it's since Tuesday huh? The ultimate thread. How will the thread die then? We must have a limit for that, let's say 24h without one comment.
- ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,
As a side note, I do have to applaud the endurance and pettiness of those of us on FriendFeed. No one on Facebook gave this status update a second look!
- Mike Nayyar
We pride ourselves in our pettiness and obsessiveness. Um, wait.
- LogEx
Remember. It's not whole Scoble likes. It's who likes Scoble.
- Akiva Moskovitz
According to FriendFeed, that's everyone. And some Twitter marketers and SEO experts.
- Mike Nayyar
Mike will get in the last word. Eventually. Everyone else is an idiot for playing his little game. Me included. :-)
- Robert Scoble
I'm not actually playing. Or, if I am, I'm playing to lose.
- Akiva Moskovitz
HAHA! You see that? Robert Scoble acknowledges I will eventually win! HAHA! FINALLY! For once in my life, I win! :) :) :) :) Unless Logical shows up...
- Mike Nayyar
Only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do.
- LogEx
We're testing the limit on the number of comments.
- DGentry
Nah, the FFundercats live chat pushed that one way over the top. We are, however, testing the limits oh how sick people are getting of setting my face.
- Mike Nayyar
This thread has a lot of comments, that must mean Mike is an expert of some kind...or maybe an A-Lister. Must stalk^H^H^H^H^Hinvestigate him...
- Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Wow losts of comments...shame this is the last comment though.
- Nicholas James
Olympus too? Good thing Logical doesn't know any Japanese mythological figures.
- Mike Nayyar
All right, if you're going to play that way, Raijin AND Ajisukitakahikone are BOTH mad at you. And Raijin was especially unhappy because you interrupted his NOMmage of children's bellybuttons.
- LogEx
Dude, my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Raijin put down the platter.
- LogEx
We'd be content, of course, if you (Mike) issued a public retraction of the assertion in your post, followed by allowing someone else to post the last comment in the thread ;-)
- LogEx
LE: Someone is going to go "last" again and it will continue ;)
- Nicholas James
Logical made it into a competition and now alot of people want to hold the title as the last comment on this thread. It will eventually stop when people give up and/or another one is made ;)
- Nicholas James
Gordon: No-one is going to give up. Well about 85% of the people on here already have...its just time to wait for the remaining people to give up and let me post "LAST"
- Nicholas James
Someone will eventually win this. However, since everyone else will have clicked "Hide" by then, they won't be able to tell anyone about it.
- Mistletoe Glen
You know at some point, expanding this comment will really put a strain on mortal browsers. It already has a 3 second pause to expand it.
- Mark Philpot
I wonder if at some point we will hit a soft limit and FF won't let it keep going. That or they look at this as a great high-bounds test case for the system.
- Sparky
I'm scared to expand the comment thread :)

There are few computers with the processing power capable of handling the comments in this thread. Except for, you know, quantum computers.

i'm afraid to click on the link to see all comments. so i'm just typing this so another guy (or gal) can read it and comment to make this comment disappear.

If anyone gets these emails in their gmail and got sick and tired of them like me, just press 'm' to mute the conversation (if you have keyboard shortcuts enabled) (haha i got the last word)
- Daniel Morgan
No you just don't know I posted this.
- John D Reasor
cant the person that started this block the comments now? and thereby win.
- Morgan Haley
If you can get buddy buddy with mike and figure out his schedule, you can prevent him from stopping the comments because you'll always be able to get the last word in. We must prevail for great justice!
- Jon, the Chilled Beartato
That would be cheating, and he knows it :)
- LogEx
That's how the FriendFeed Mob rolls. :-D
- Steven Perez
from IM
you didn't disable the comments yet? you could comment and then do it and then you really would get the last word. but then again, that's cheating. and cheaters never prosper.
- Trish Haley
You're not supposed to make sense of it. It exits only as an opaque, monolithic data structure that is constantly being updated and evolving. ;)
- Tyson Key
Attempting to parse it in a manner that is not approved by FriendFeed, Inc may result in disruption of the space-time continuum, and a series of Bad Things(R) occurring.
- Tyson Key
SCREW YOU HAGGIS... I wax me legs, I spend hours in the hairdressers and weeks doing my makeup for you... YOU BASTARD... I HATE YOU... *runs off sobbing*
- Johnny Worthington
Oh I have you in another list Johnny: Crossdressing Australians of FF.
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Aww, I hope I'm not offending anyone by not including them on the list. Many times I just go by the avatar and if it's a cartoon or something it's hard to tell and I won't put on here, and also these are just *my* personal tastes. Everyone has different types!
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Any woman with the brass to be on FF is a hottie in my book.
- Chris Baskind
Wow - that'd be a drag to be on a list like that. Still, as I always say, if you want to get a lot of followers get a hot chick avatar. It's sad but it's iJustine. True! I mean true. It's sad but it's true.
- Ciaoenrico
Ciaoenrico I kinda take offense to that. My avatar is me, it's my face and I shared it on FF after a LOT of thought about it (plus some gender confusion, but that's another story). Because a woman might be considered attractive she *shouldn't* user her face as an avatar otherwise she's just trying to get followers? Bull crap, and sexist to boot.
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
Agreed, Tina. That certainly wasn't the point of this list - it was merely a way to point out all of my FF crushes at once. I hope no one takes offense to it. :(
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I'm offended....I wasn't on this effing list!!
- jamar78
Sean, I'm not offended, personally. I find it rather amusing. The title of this post, to me, however, seemed rather "definitive". YMMV. :D
- Helen Sventitsky
I think I'm due for a new picture. I've used the same one since joining.
- Rochelle
Rochelle, you had that other one, the B&W one of you smiling. That was great, too
- Josh Haley
Quite a collection. There should be a male list too but then that could lead to a match-making game and apps being developed and other memes ... and ... oh dear ...
- Amani
Dammit.. I'm about to delete this post. It was not my intention to hurt anyone's feelings. :(
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I don't think it's a problem pointing out your crushes, hun. I think it's the fact that it's titled "The Hotties of FriendFeed" that can make people kind of uncomfy. That comes across as a direct judgment of peoples' looks, even though we know you didn't mean it that way.
- tinypants - Hagitha of FF
@Sean don't ever apologize for your actions.
- Shevonne
Okay, I think I understand.. Thanks Amanda.. I just updated the title, hopefully it will let everyone know that this is my own personal list, and by no means a judgement of anyone.
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
It's not my scene, but hey...whatevs. It just feels a little meat market-ish to me. People aren't avatars, and I know a couple on the list who wouldn't be proud of being reduced to a FF hottie on someone's list.
- Derrick
Derrick - But a lot of the stuff you post to the really gay room is pretty meat market-ish. Just because they're professional models it's okay to objectify them? We naturally objectify each other because we naturally are sexual creatures. I'm not offended by being on this list, but I don't like being objectified and I think what Haggis has done is a sweet gesture, not a gesture of blind testosterone rubbing one out.
- Mattie Kenny
Didn't anyone see me grab the popcorn earlier? That's your 1st clue.
- Josh Haley
Sean you created a monster didn't you....hehe
- jamar78
Ugh.. no kidding.. I guarantee this list will never be mentioned again outside of these posts. I think i'm gonna unplug for a while and let this all die down.
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
ok i just now read the whole thread damnit i always miss everything lol joel... ::shakes head:: u kno to some i'm not a lil sister lol ur so funny i luv u!
- Cardeen Martinez
don't let it get to you Sean....all that matters is that you had no malicious intent which you didn't
- jamar78
**blushes** - gee thanks. :) And go hide for a while, Sean... it'll all blow over.
- Jen (SquirrelGirl)
nice list, i have about half of these in a group called "sexy people"
- sean percival
Mattie, any pics I post in the Really Gay Room are A) *in* the Really Gay Room, and B) pictures culled from sites that are meat-marketish to begin with. I would never post pics of Scoble or Louis Gray and say, "oh these are guys I'd like to see naked". And I'm not knocking Sean. I freakin' love Sean. But I also know that there are women on the list who've worked hard at getting to where they are in life and in their careers and to be thought of as a pin-up on FF isn't their bag.
- Derrick
It's about time you chimed in Leather...LMAO...love it...haha
- jamar78
I don't see how posting this in a room would make it any different a situation, Derrick. I don't think that Sean ever said he wanted to see any of the women on the list naked. Is that something I skipped over while scanning the comments? If he said that, then yes. This list is pretty lame. But being admired for your beauty isn't bad. Especially since (for me at least) being a hottie entails being incredibly intelligent and engaging.
- Mattie Kenny
Mattie, that's exactly what I consider a hottie. Attractiveness is only part of the factor. Intelligence, a sense of humor, and many other things go into that equation.
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Mattie, I'm not going to fight with you over this. If you want to split ends, say I'm a hypocrite, or engage in double standards, feel free. I don't care. Very simply, I know people who don't want to be referred to as hotties. By anyone. I see them on the list. I speak up. That's it. There are 50 people in the RGR, maybe 20 people see it regularly. That's a HUGE difference than the numbers of people who sub to the home feed. But you know what? Forget I even opened my mouth. Apparently I've become a prude...
- Derrick
That's not what I'm saying, Derrick. Now I understand what you meant by putting the photos up in the RGR versus what Haggis did. Did these women speak up for themselves and say they don't appreciate being called attractive?
- Mattie Kenny
<3 Derrick.. I appreciate what you are saying, and think it's very commendable that you are seeing this from an angle I didn't really see. I know you only have the best intentions with what you are saying. Please no more fighting over this..
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I just happen to know them, Mattie. And I didn't say they didn't appreciate being called attractive. I said they, knowing them as I do, woudn't appreciate being culled up on a list and pointed out for the world to ogle.
- Derrick
Sean, you know how I feel about you bud, and I'm not putting you on blast. Consider my hands washed of it.
- Derrick
Mattie, how about you look at it from the flip side...those women who DIDN'T make the list and don't have the benefit of feeling all bubbly inside because they've been deemed "attractive"? It's all well and good when you're on the winning team, apparently.
- tinypants - Hagitha of FF
yeah Sean you are a good person....don't beat yourself up about it
- jamar78
Although you better take my sis' out this damn list!! hehe
- jamar78
Amanda - I don't think not being on the list deems you unattractive and I don't think Haggis is the be all end all of who is or is not attractive. Wow. I'm on the list. BFD. I don't feel or bubbly inside, nor did I take it very seriously. It didn't blip in my radar until I saw people taking major offense to Haggis having posted the list, in which case I looked at it & was surprised to see myself there. I'm not on any "team".
- Mattie Kenny
Haggis, I love the conversations you spawn... feel free to include me in future provocative topics. ~xxxooo~
- Far
I would like to state for the record, should there be a men's list...I would like to opt out. That is all, thank you.
- Christian (Simply X)
Ok gents, let's show the ladies how we roll. (and can someone email me that info ahead of time, so I look like I know what I'm doing?)
- Morgan Haley
Oh too funny. Thanks for including me, Sean. ;-)
- Jennifer Leggio
And the winner for best line from this entire thread..."The picture is too small to see. Am I on it?"...@Martha. thank YOU! I am now cleaning cola off of my keyboard.

How did you manage to limit yourself to only 53?
- j1m
Ok my cat is really pist off...didn't make the cut...gees! LOL
- Susan Beebe
This list is approved, mainly because one certain hottie is the better half :) Sean, not only do you represent a great product, but also exceptional taste. Sir, I owe you a drink! ;)
- Matt Harwood
I'm amazed that neither Lisa Bettany nor Sarah Lacy are showing up in any of these clique building seminar visual aides.
- Matthew DeVries
Ok I am not the brightest crayon in the box so I want to know how the hell do you see a list of people like that. I have different lists but where do I go to see all in just that one list?
- Brandy Lea
Brandy, you see this view when you go into one of your lists then select to Add/Remove friends.
- Kol Tregaskes
I think what Brandy is asking is if she can see someone else's list, which we can't. Haggis might have made a list that is friendfeed.com/list/hotties and he'll see it when he's logged in, but no one else would see it if they went to that same URL. He wouldn't even see it if he logged out and went to that URL.
- FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
I don't think I was subscribed to you when I made this list, Jeunelle. This is almost a year old! :D
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
Don't misunderstand what I mean. I mean I am thankful I didn't make the list period. PRAISE THE LORD :)
- Jeunelle Foster
We should have an Academy Award of FriendFeed or something. That I would have a long ass speech prepared telling everybody how I'd like to thank all the little people who were responsible for me winning that award and it should be sponsored by Mashable and FFundercats :)
- Jeunelle Foster
How the FF did I miss this thread? Jan 27th??? Thank you! That's a huge compliment. And since it's so old, it's a fun time capsule too.
- Ginger Makela Riker
i often feel bad when i catch my eyes wandering south from a woman's face while we're talking. as a consequence, i tend to stare them in the eye...which can come off creepy #ConditionedResponse

If you see women as people at not body parts, it shouldn't matter what they're wearing?

I'm afraid this is one of those vicious cycles, accompanied by drug addiction and obesity. I only hope some brilliant person out there can spend a little less time curing cancer, and a little more time on a solution to this problem. /s

Birthday dinner was a success -- supposed to be Mahi burgers, but none at the grocery store, so went with Grouper. Never had Grouper until tonight and it was a good substitute. Also had hamburgers and pasta salad and cinnamon rolls. Saving ice cream and cake for tomorrow night. Thanks for all the comments and well-wishes everybody!

I watch her sometimes just to torture myself but I've yet to see her make anything I'd want to eat. And her incessant need to match her kitchen decor to her food drives me batty.

violin (only for about a year at age 3), clarinet, flute & drums a little bit for marching band and such; but mostly did 7 years of oboe. oh and a little piano and organ just for fun at home.
- Rachel Lea Fox
story: i remember my violin teacher from age 3. She was a nun and she had one of those horrible clown puppets that pops out of a cone that she would make pop out if I did something wrong. It scared me and I hated it and her.
- Rachel Lea Fox
the oboe I loved!!I was a very good sight reader too, and I mostly just played for the joy, didn't really practice much, just enjoyed playing it and playing in the bad. But when I became a senior in high school and was the only higher level oboe player they moved me to first chair and suddenly there was a lot more pressure and the joy went away and I had too many things on my plate...

Three cool things about my flute playing (and there were plenty of not cool things but .. let's concentrate on the positive) was a) I took lessons in the city (Philadelphia) and got to ride the train alone and wander around South Street afterwards, all as an early teenager and b) it got a bit cool when the flute (or piccolo) was featured in a Men at Work song and c) all my fellow flautists were girls and that wasn't a bad place to be.
- AJ Kohn
Bass Viola was bigger than me at the time.
- Eric Logan
I was the one kid out of 9 to not have to play an instrument in the family, I was addicted to throwing the baseball.
- Steve C
I played the flute. I don't have a story. It's tradition in my family that the women play the flute and sing. The men play the piano and/or drums.
- Admiral Anika
Wanted to play guitar, but they didn't offer it at school, so I had to play violin. Only did it for a few months. Eventually I bought a guitar and taught myself to play.
- Cristo
Saxphone... I was horrible. I chalk it up as a huge lessoned learned. Lesson in my mind is "You can be a lover of music, without playing it." I truly love almost all forms of music, but have no patience for the dedication required to be a musician.
- Cody Heitschmidt
Violin until high school (although I did play a little throughout high school) and then trombone for marching band in high school. Dropped both once I got to college. Kinda regret dropping the violin but I just started teaching myself guitar now.
- ronin
Piano, then trumpet, then French horn, with a tiny bit of guitar mixed in.
- Jordan Hofker
Piano but my mother taught it and felt a bit imposed.
- M F
picked up violin at age 10 by choice but switched to guitar at 13. still playing that (as well as several other instruments) to this day.
- Joe Silence is not Santa
i played viola for about 7 years from about 7 to 14. i continued to play while many of my fellow students i started with eventually dropped it to pursue other things. I was a passable player, and could have been much better had I put in a little more practice each day. It was never something I was going to be good enough to make a living at though.
- Imabug
I played the trumpet for a few months in 4th grade, but the case was about as big as me. My senior year of high school I played the bells.
- Heather
When I was around 11 I played percussion in the band.. So anything that could be struck, slapped, pounded, or clapped together. And guitar and trumpet for a little while
- J. Abdul-Qahhar
Trombone. Still doing it (obviously... high school).
- Zach Flauaus
I played multiple instruments, but my primary ones were (and still are, really) piano, flute, and oboe. I was massively into music growing up, so whenever I had the chance, I learned other instruments. Guitar, trombone, xylophone, trumpet, alto sax, tenor sax, clarinet, cello, French horn, piccolo...those are the ones I can recall off the top of my head. Me learning trombone is probably...

- tinypants - Hagitha of FF
Whole school had a music test when I was about 8. Top 5 students got to learn a musical instrument. I was one of the 5. "What would you like to learn to play?" they asked. "Piano! Guitar! Drums!" we answered. "How nice," they said. "You're all learning the violin so go tell your parents to buy you one."
- Mark H
Viola, Cello & Second violin, followed by Alto & Tenor sax with a dash of bagpipes since 2nd grade.
- Tsali, The Native of FF
Clarinet and Contra Alto Clairnet, and I once played a bass drum in a parade.
- Shannon
...Can I just throw this in under instruments I have owned and cannot play to save my life? If so, then it's guitar, accordion, recorder, and piano. Two of which I still own.
- Colette
None. *sigh* I was given a choice of band and baseball. Band would have given me something to last a lifetime. One of the very few truly bad parenting moments in my childhood.
- Michael W. May
I played trumpet for about 7 years, but then developed recurring Belle's Palsy (partial asymmetric facial paralysis) and had to give it up. The facial paralysis eventually went away but my lips have lingering weakness on one side. Tried to play again on my son's when he was learning it, but still no go.
- Mark "DerBingle" J
violin and oboe - and both really poorly
