I love Jem and the Holograms. When I was a little baby gay, I used to call my Hag-itha on Sat. morning and watch this while wordlessly holding the phone to our collective ears. - http://www.youtube.com/watch...
why would you even try? this was a part of cartoon's great golden age!

I was Jem for Halloween 3 years ago. Had an awesome pink wig and all. Synergize!

Probably had something to do with the utter GIRLINESS of it all. It's too far back for me to remember. It was no Transformers.

Jem is truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.

I saw "he's not..." Friday night. Liked the cast, hated the script. But I kinda knew that going in. I get so frustrated with crappy Rom Com!
- Jeanine W.
The PR company who set that up were kinda lame. Sending me "what to post" emails. I also didn't want to sit through 4 in one day (it was yesterday)

I've seen 1 (Frost/Nixon) and a half (of Benjamin Button, too FREAKING LONG)! I'm about to watch Milk right now (I heard they're going to win).

"Rome is pockmarked with stone markers accurately recording the date and high water mark of historic flood events. Most are embedded on the sides of buildings, and their inscriptions read something like this: ANNO DOMINI MCDXXII IN DIE SANCTI ANDREE CREVIT AQUA TIBERIS USQUE AD SUMITATEM ISTIUS LAPIDIS TEMPORE DOMINI MARTINI PAPE V ANNO VI. Or: In the year of the Lord 1422 on the day of Saint Andrew the water of the Tiber rose as far as to top of this stone, in the time of Pope Martin V, his sixth year. In many markers, a finger, from which a swirl of lovely, frothy curlicues swooshes out, points instead to the upper limit of inundation. According to Aquae Urbis Romae, “nearly one hundred flood markers still exist,” with the earliest dating to the 13th century. None from earlier eras are extant, but presumably there were many, a collective testament to a watery past.

Heh! He knows about my Daniel Craig fixation. Not sure about the Nick Cave one. I think he might be a little nonplussed about it, actually. :D

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's Libertine or Jazz Funeral. One makes me smell like a debauched Victorian gentleman, the other a voodoo-and-bourbon-laced trip through a New Orleans cemetery at two o'clock in the morning.

For myself, Ralph Lauren Romance for men. Yup, for men. I like smelling like I hugged a good lookin' guy all day long =D

Usually anything with patchouli and vanilla notes. Shalimar, old standard. Loved Ann Klein II but no longer produced. Found a knockoff- Duplicity on www.longlostperfumes.com I'm with Tina on men's cologne. Jicky is out of my price range but by sample I loved it - is unisex scent.
- Janet
haha nice one Tina! i know someone just like you ;)

I don't wear scents, but I tend to wear men's cologne, though nothing you'd find at a dept. store (gag) or natural oil extracts like honeysuckle.

Burberry London for myself. Cool women pretty much always smell good to me.

Oh my goodness I love this song. Edythe was the one who introduced me to it via Muxtape before that got killed. Can't wait to see what the video is like when I get to my unblocked computer at home.

The movie, titled Life After Death, will be released on DVD on February 17, 2009. The action takes place two years after the series finale and, as we reported in various posts in 2007, the repears report to a new boss portrayed by Lost's Henry Ian Cusick and Daisy is now played by Sarah Wynter (remember that both Mandy Patinkin and Laura Harris were not available at shooting time because of their engagement to TV series). The new boss has a secret agenda that creates disorder amongst the reapers while George breaks one of the most important rules when being a reaper: Do not reveal yourself to your Earthly family. The DVD features two extras: a commentary and a featurette about resurecting the series in movie format.

It just won't be the same without the Mandy Patinkin.

Or the original Daisy for that matter.. Nobody can play bitch like Laura Harris. I will seriously be missing Rube, but Desmond from LOST is acceptable I suppose. I'll watch it just because I like Brian Fuller's universe so much.
- Haggis (Sean Loyless)
I can't believe they are still working on this movie.
- Fancy Fembot
I'm really looking forward to this... but with a great deal of trepidation. Fingers crossed.
- Shemp DeYoung
Indeed.. I'm still in it for George and Mason. Ellen Muth is so adorably cute.

And as much as I LOVE this photo of Mr. Phoenix, nothing beats him as a priest in Quills. I get all flushed just THINKING about it. @Cee Bee - You know those stretches of time when people's heads often become reacquainted with their butts? ;) I think I've been preparing for the inevitable mental hibernation that comes with winter. Thanks for asking!

I love the special effects they cooked up for the Grammaton Clerics' guns - the pattern made from specialized squibs. They used the same effect for "Ultraviolet," but I like it so much more here.
- Jennifer Dittrich
@Jennifer: "In certain scenes, the muzzle flash of the pistols and rifles fired by the Clerics and guards will reveal the Tetragrammaton insignia." (IMDB trivia)

Excellent movie. I love the action scenes and the plot.

I love this movie. Can watch the ending over and over! The whole thing is great though.
