I got some Filipino stick fighting thing, but I'm ignoring that and thinking #2 is more sensible: kung fu (plus, if I learnt it then I could do a Neo impersonation)

"We've got Tricia Helfer and Michael Hogan from Battlestar Galactica playing the voice of the new Normandy and Captain Bailey respectively. From NBC's Chuck comes Yvonne Strahovski as genetically engineered Cerberus operative Miranda Lawson, joined by co-star Adam Baldwin, better known as Firefly's Jayne Cobb, who'll be taking on the role of Kal ‘Reegar. Marina Sirtis from the original Mass Effect taps out and fellow Star Trek: The Next Generation cast member Michael "Worf" Dorn taps in as Gatatog Uvenk. The Matrix's Carrie-Anne Moss portrays Aria Y'Loak, the crime lord who rules the planet Omega. Finally we have Emmy-award winning House of Saddam star Shohreh Aghdashloo will play the role of Admiral Shala'Raan vas Tonbay. And of course we can't forget returning cast members Seth Green, who had some of the first game's best lines as Normandy pilot Joker, and The Chronicles of Riddick's Keith David, returning as Admiral David Anderson."

Is Adam Baldwin really better known as Jayne Cobb? His new show "Chuck" is on NBC... Oh.
- Andrew C
Andrew, I thought that too, but among gamer/geeky people, Firefly's probably still a higher echelon than Chuck (even though Chuck is also geeky).

I know this is cinematic, not in-engine, but good grief it looks GORGEOUS. The Dec 22 date is for another trailer, though, not the game. I got all confused for a second.

"Even in just the first full chapter of the game, Heavy Rain delivers a number of genuinely memorable moments. "Hassan's Shop," which Joystiq writer Griffin so elegantly laid out, is one of those nerve-wracking scenes. While Griffin experienced a number of different possibilities for that single scene -- sneaking up behind the burglar and knocking him out, getting caught and shot in the shoulder, or engaging in verbal negotiations -- he probably didn't see the most gruesome result of them all. Once again, inaction is a valid choice and, in this instance, ends in the brutal murder of the shop owner. "I should've done something," Detective Shelby says when he sees the stiff body lying on the floor, the puddle of blood expanding. Like Hassan's Shop, many of the other scenes in Heavy Rain will make you stop and think: "Wow, I've never seen this in a game before." It's exhilarating to play something that feels like a next step in the evolution of the medium."

I've never even heard of this game, but it sounds really interesting. Like Indigo Prophecy, which I really enjoyed playing. A nice change of pace from all the shooters and traditional RPGs I usually play. But looks like it's PS3 only? Boo on that.

I have that (the why so serious) as my tone when I get paged.
- Scott
Finally listened to it, some scenes were good, but I missed some parts so I suppose some would lose attention in key scenes, the end part was nice, Joker pending. The clown c******** idea was clever too.
- ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,
I'm with Jason on Bale, what was happening, him with that distorted voice made him Batman instead of the other way around.
- ElijahBailey-Zu of FF <0,
I didn't like CB's voice as Batman. Throttle back on the Pro Tools.
- Derrick
+100 Derrick. They made the voice so raspy that it was an annoyance. Batman shouldn't sound like he's smoked 6 packs a day for 30 years.
- Jason Huebel
UGh, NO. Gyllenhaal face looks like a a perma mugshot - bowoww (she always looks like she's frowning) ~ compared to the models Bale was with she had NO chance, it wasn't convincing & she had such a crude/rough acting style whereas Holmes' is your archetypal good girl/beautiful sweetheart.
- sofarsoShawn
You obviously /haven't/ seen Secretary.
- Jason Huebel
To be honest, TDK is possibly one of Gyllenhaal's worst performances. She's incredible in Secretary and Sherrybaby, and steals the show in most of her other movies from Donnie Darko on through. She just kind of phoned it in for TDK, though.
- Jandy, ConcertMaven of FF
Agreeing with Jandy. A movie like TDK is SO not about her character, and she knew that.
- Derrick
She was just a third wheel in TDK. She was just there to give Two-Face and Batman a reason to hate the Joker even more.
- Jason Huebel
Yeah I usually don't have a problem with her/or her movies, but she just seemed to have been miscast in this role. "Phoned it in" lol I like that, it was a stale performance, it didn't resonate, and that's why she came off as a third wheel when really she's an essential character in driving the plot.
- sofarsoShawn
I wish she hadn't taken it, to be honest. I don't think Holmes was any better, really, but at least with Holmes Batman Begins isn't the one dark spot on her resume, you know? [To be fair, I actually like Holmes more than I should - and she was very good in GO. And in Thank You For Smoking, actually. But then you've got, like, Abandon, and I rest my case.]

My shih tzu NEVER figures it out. Fools her every time. On the other hand, we only fooled the Golden once. She don't play that.
- Internet's Tad
My Schnauzer's reaction time is too fast for me to fool him. He's SO fast. Sometimes I think he may be smarter than I am.
- Jason Huebel
Some breeds of dog were bred just for stuff like that. That's their job. My Golden takes it 10000% serious. It's not a game. She MUST retrieve the ball! At any price!
