Twitter has it's Twitter's #followfriday, so FriendFeed has SubscribeSunday #ffss! So why not recommend a fellow FriendFeeder! :-)
Guidelines: 1. For your post use the format: "[Subscribe Sunday]: <user> - <profile link>" as the title. 2. Attach at least the user's profile pic with perhaps a nice comment about the user. 3. If possible please DM the user so they get a heads-up. 4. Use the hastag #ffss (and #friendfeed if you like) somewhere in the post. 5. And if you can why not CC the post to Twitter.
Feel free to (re)share the post to your own feed and anywhere you like so the user gets the coverage they deserve. :-)
A copy of the guidelines can be found here and please leave any feedback there.
Hey look, it's my daughter and recent high-school grad Amanda. You should subscribe, but keep it on the straight and narrow now. - http://friendfeed.com/thescat...

Joel and Michelle Martinez are science-heroes from the future who met during a conference on cybernetics held in Space Hunter Nebula. Falling instantly in love, they had a whirlwind marriage and quickly settled down in the Kastaberan System, concentrating on their love of robotics to create their greatest invention, the kaiju cyborg known as Gigan. Sadly, an insane race of sentient cockroaches stole their invention and reprogrammed him to create havoc and devastation across the galaxy. Pursuing the deadly cyborg across the stars, Joel and Michelle eventually found Gigan on earth, out-of-control and fighting Terran kaiju such as Godzilla and Mothra. Joining forces with the Japanese Self-Defense Force, Joel and Michelle joined the Cybernetics Strike Force and developed such defensive weapons as the various MechaGodzilla models, MOGUERA and Kiryu. They continue to work to defend their newfound home against all kaiju and alien threats to this day.

This is now called FollowFriday (well for the moment anyway). Please recommend a fellow FriendFeeder that we should follow. Mine is Rochelle here: http://friendfeed.com/ff-foll...

Better known as the Sons of Thunder on their home planet of Ffundera, Josh Haley and Johnny Worthington were the Keepers of the Flame, the latest in a long line of guardians who protected an ancient source of power and knowledge whose origins were shrouded in mystery. When their planet found itself soon to be annexed by the Galactic Conglomeration of Zuckerburgia, the Sons of Thunder escaped to the land of FriendFeed, bringing with them the Flame. Assisted by the Great Poutine Canadian of the North, Mark Wilson, Josh and Johnny began producing quite possibly the greatest audio show of all time, the Ffundercats, in which they passed on the secrets of awesomesauce and kept at bay the forces of Zuckerburgia, finding humor and discussing their love of toilets for the masses.

Prince of the ancient kingdom of Kandahar, Alex Scoble was taken at a young age by the mystics of the Tall Order and infused with the Waters of March, a hidden wellspring from which all wisdom of the ages was granted by otherworldly powers. Alex was instructed by the mystics and was eventually installed as the Tester of Truth, the kingdom's soothsayer and wise man. Troubled at the way his gift was exploited by the venal and unjust, Alex led a rebellion that eventually destroyed much of the ancient world. Without a home, Alex wanders the earth and dispenses wisdom in a world that seldom appreciates his gifts.

Crown Prince of the great and bountiful Beartato Confederation, Jonathan Hardesty is the prime guardian of the visual arts in most of the known universe, especially theater and cinema. Jonathan was reared at an early age to rever all forms of visual media, showing great proficiency with creating new stories that would wend their way into the fabric of reality. Unfortunately, one of his greatest creations also proved to be one of his darkest mistakes: his evil twin from one of his stories escaped the storyline and wreaked havoc across the cosmos before hiding on a small blue backwater planet in the Spiral Arm. Jonathan pursued and apprehended him in due course; deciding that he rather liked this little world, he stayed to bring the natives his gifts of excellent storytelling.

Roberto Bonini was one of the original Titans of Greek legend. Punished by the Olympians for bringing the gift of fire to man, Roberto was chained to a giant rock and sentenced to have a giant vulture tear out his liver and eat it every day. Roberto, however, was too clever for Zeus and his cabal of troublemakers; he escaped his bonds before the vulture arrived and used them to harness the great bird and escape. He travels the world, staying one step ahead of the wrath of Hades and his hellhounds and assisting mankind with random gifts of technology and medicine.

Born in a reality where music and dance were considered the most cardinal of all sins, the young woman known as Mary Carmen was born with the most egregious of birth defects: she could sing an aria so sweet, it would make the angels weep. Taken from her parents at an early age and forced to endure all manner of grotesque medical treatments in a futile effort to suppress her voice, Mary Carmen escaped her captors and found refuge with the last Time Lord of that dimension. Ancient and dying in his last iteration, the Time Lord gave Mary Carmen his TARDIS, telling her to run far away from that Earth. Mary Carmen ran further than she ever thought possible: she breached the walls of the dimensional Void and found our world, a world teeming with music and dance. The journey, coupled with the experiments forced on her, changed Mary Carmen's physiology, granting her ever-increasing control over sound, gifting her with the ability to create sound from light and air, eventually growing to...

Last survivor of a doomed planet in a distant galaxy, a baby girl was launched in a rocket designed by her parents to flee the destruction. Traveling across the stars, the rocket came to rest on a planet of sentient penguins, whose civilization was based on the tenets of liberty, freedom and surprise naps. Adopted by a barren couple, the young girl grew to adulthood rapidly in the altered gravity of her new homeworld. Her abilities far outstripped the more modest avian abilities, and so, when she reached maturity, she launched herself into the void in her rocket and traveled the stars, seeking a place to call her own. After many adventures, she settled on the planet Earth and adopted the moniker Penguin, after her foster mother. With her abilities of flight, super-strength and super-speed, Penguin has been instrumental in turning back the Shadows and the Borg from destroying her new home. She now resides in her Fortress of Solitude and wears the stripey socks that are a symbol of her avian roots.

I don't think Penguin suffers from such problems. She frequently makes use of advanced mathematics that she learned in her time among the stars. :)

You're not blocked; I have a private feed and your sub request was buried (I'm ridiculously lazy about approving requests, lol). You should be all set now! :)

Good idea everyone. I hope people will provide a reason for recommending someone like Mike Frutcher does in his blog posts, and as Kol has done in recommending Manuela. Cheers.

Thanks again for picking up the ball Kol. Busy times here (not complaining :) ...
- Charlie Anzman
No worries, Charlie. Like I say I was going to start something a few weeks ago but had other things on my mind (i.e. being out of work).
- Kol Tregaskes
Hope you either fixed that problem already or prospects are improving! Have noted some really talented people across numerous networks in the same position. The good thing .... they're networking (probably the best way for a soft, comfortable landing).

[Subscribe Sunday] Add Carmen http://beta.friendfeed.com/carmenb.... She is a local to Colorado Springs, a journalist, and works social media for the local paper. She is encouraged by the new FriendFeed interface, so I expect her to be a regular now. Give her a boost. She always seems to have good stuff around news and publishing.
