Sand drives forward across the sky / waves and waves fall down / lifting up but never settling / sweeping away persistence / dreaming away consequence / failing at holding to ground / falling to pieces / useless to fight against / trying to / tying your body to the earth / beaten up and firmally downed / small specks work against / sawing away at...

trees / golden, green, white, and purple / a spring day / foliage in bloom / in the eaves / dead trees await their turn / life in bursts / tremors in stages / quivering branches lean and sway / showoffs for another day

Dazed / suffering / drowned out by noise / afloat in a sea of aural debris / let go / drown

the bird flew down from out of space / with a sense of style / and a moment of grace

Stuffed out / Not meant for / Left cold withered * Stopping to smoke / Left again / Deserted lump * Forgotten strand / Twanged aloud / Making noises * Stuttering fool / Enveloped in / Wrapped blanket * Blanket a bottle / Tubes engage / Twilight beckons * Hardened heart / Acceptance / Fate is muffled

Black Hole: Holes Dissolve / Consume / The heart / body Blood / Soul tears / Absorbs / everything / Absolves / Life / Free to / Live / Scoured Clean

green trees in a valley at the ocean floor / brown shoes walking a field of trash / broken bottles and plastic rings choking life / oily wings bringing down baby birds / feeding hungry mutant fish

The city slumbered peacefully as the airships passed quietly over the town. Gaseous vapors drifted down with fervor and grace

walking a fine line between states / Stopping, starting / Hot hot heat / sadness begets joy / the end is never the beginning

Growing up in the shade of a car. Stopping by the roadside between states. A preying mantis waits to bite my hand. Moving forward to a land with a sea on either side. Sick my first day at a new school. I lay down in class in the brightness of the sun. Deathstar.

a fin from a porpoise / a gill from a bird / savaging the wastelands/ searching the bad lands / land from oil / dirt from dust / a trickle of black / death without clearness / awash with gold / drowns me with its weight /

a tooth in the river / a day upon the shore / sifting much from muck / a stray glint / a lottery won / a chipped tooth / fortunes lost / that were never found

a shark who swum out of the depths/ crawled out of the sea / walked up on the land / intent on devouring me / afraid of, no surprise / in the spiritual guise / those who came before / who use their teeth in sand / alone upon the land / driving back the flood / leaving out the gate / the venomous ones...
