Well, someone provide a pull request to Golden View Friendfeed Image Zoom https://chrome.google.com/webstor... so it now has the added feature of handling links in comments where the link goes directly to a FF-hosted image...

Hey Micah, can you explain the purpose of this again? Is it mostly a large-scale link saver (so I can grab external links from feeds and put them in one place)? It's not intended as a self-archiving tool (for non-linked content within feeds) is it?

Meg, I'll answer more thoroughly later today, but basically, you can save a post/tweet/Google search result -- the URL mainly, but the username and title are saved too. And you get a hovercard style Popup of your recent links.

Ran into issues with this today. I had installed a GreaseMonkey script ages ago, apparently the latest FF update messed something up. The script was breaking all the internal FF links (like expend the list of comments, or expand a comment to see more than 512 chars). I can't seem to get the current Github file to load into Greasemonkey now, complains 'the addon appears to be corrupt'. Probably user error on my part, but I've given up on it for now.

Yes, same here. Recent updates of Firefox/GM messed up Image Zoom completely. It's eother viewing image attachments or having JS working in Friendfeed. Maybe someone could fix the Image Zoom script to make it compatible again?

My experience is also that new Firefox + Image Zoom completely borks Friendfeed's Javascript.

Roll back to pre-GreaseMonkey 1.0, Andrew. That resolves is, although preventing GreaseMonkey from auto updating is a huge pain the in ass. The new GM has borked tons of scripts, but they don't seem inclined to change it.

I have reported this before but no action was taken by FriendFeed. The easiest way to stop the spammers is to enable the email confirmation for the registration process. Without an email confirmation, anyone can create tens of users and spam other people with a total peace of mind.

I cannot see any Preffered Groups. There are groups. When i select it i can see my groups, but 2 seconds later all the groups disappear and says "you dont have subscribed any group". iPhone 3G by the way...

Se usi lo stesso account iTunes/id Apple all'inizio di dirà il costo poi poco prima dell'installazione vera e propria ti apparirà un avviso che ti dirà che l'aggiornamento è gratuito.

ah giusto, ho letto meglio. secondo me ti mancano i flag -ObjC -all_load nella configurazione Release e non vengono caricate le category del JSON (per questo suggerivo di testare il binario che hai caricato, Debug e Release sono compilati con opzioni diverse e questo problema è successo anche a me più d'una volta).

@Crino stavo per consigliarti la stessa cosa. Per fortuna, in c# la classe textencoding supporta tutte le principali codifiche nativamente. Attenzione però, perche durante il post in multiform allegando anche flussi di byte (ovvero le immagini) la API di Friendfeed vanno in crash con la codifica UTF-8 ... :-(

I'll start with a service that *lots* of people asked for - an OPML import web app. The application would be givan an OPML list of RSS/ATOM feeds and the app would import the feeds into desired FF groups. Since the FF API doesn't have all the functionallity needed for this, someting in the line of the Mechanize library (http://wwwsearch.sourceforge.net/mechani...) would probably have to be used.

You're right Mike, and actually Lucio (http://friendfeed.com/cantorjf) made a Yahoo Pipe which does exactly that - http://friendfeed.com/friendf.... His Pipe combines all the feeds in the OPML file into a single feed which you can then import into FF more easily. I'll add it to the existing tools-and-services list.

Gli avatar sono il male assoluto. Il 95 % dei "leak time" di WinForFeed sono dovuti ai tempi di attesa per il caricamento degli avatar. Se doveste scegliere un client mobile per FriendFeed lo preferireste velocissimo, ma privo (o quasi) di avatar, o lentino ma ricchissimo di tutte le vostre belle faccette ? :-D

La scelta potrebbe essere un'opzione, ma richiede, però, una duplice gestione della U.I., non complicatissima, ma comunque fastidiosa :-(. La mia applicazione ha già un meccanismo di caching, ma ci sono degli scenari in cui serve a ben poco, come ad esempio la pagina di elenco di scubscribers e subscriptions (pensate a chi ne ha più di 1000): sono sempre un numero enorme di letture contemporanee (o dal web o dall'isolated storage)
