I've never had restore not work unless it was being interfered with by a bad extension.

Are you on the latest Firefox, v. 3.6? Restore should work. Try this: Help > Check for updates or visit

Go read

to see what Mozilla leadership & community was thinking. Particular attention to paragraph 2.

Tabs should not be a problem. I regularly run with several dozen tabs. It's likely something bad left over from a bad extension.

I can say it again. Mozilla didn't push for the ballot. They pushed for other changes to Microsoft behavior. See my first links.

w/ all the press on the settlement (microsoft did settle. they could have fought) it's a great time to talk about real choice.

You'll note that "proposed principle" was considered less important and with less consensus and that was noted in the post.

& why are you coming out swinging against MS for taking the easy way out (settlement) instead of upholding your principles? ;-)

And the ballot might end up confusing more people than it helps. Mozilla was not thrilled with it or its implementation.

Hope you won't hold this against Firefox. Using it voluntarily (like 350M others have) is good for the Web. Choice is good.

Opera and Google, on the other hand, did seem to care a great deal about getting a ballot. They apparently need it ;-)

Firefox is competing just fine in Europe without a ballot. That will help all the other virtually unknown browser much more.

That's very odd. I find Chrome, with lots of tabs, uses lots more cpu and memory causing more lag. Perhaps you have a bad Flash?
