"Conditioning. The more traditional software industry has taught people that software is expensive and comes with all sorts of silly restrictions that makes its use harder, thus for a lot of people it has become quite routine to install pirated versions or use key generators. It is the consequence of having people who aren't terribly clever run these companies. People who do not understand that short term greed reduces the value of their product as well as the long-term profit potential. That someone would pirate software that is useful to them and only costs a few bucks is a symptom of how bad things are. This attitude amongst computer users is going to take a *lot* of work to rectify and it needs to start with more traditional big-name software publishers realizing the errors of their ways and doing something about it. For starters this means that they need to treat legitimate users as such -- not as criminals. As long as using a pirated version of some piece of software offers a..."

I meant in general... and I may be exaggerating just a tiny bit for dramatic effect :)

I know the feeling. It does sometimes feel different when viewed from the opposite direction though...

Yes, I guess Google get the "they only have one actual successful product, except in Brazil" line whenever something does not work out...

"On any given day, Google runs about 100,000 MapReduce jobs; each occupies about 400 servers and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to finish"

Where is the menubar? Looking for the Preferences system. (Found it. The wrench in the upper right corner of the window. That's not standard Windows UI, btw.)

Net-net: I don't see why I should use this browser.

BTW, I tried using various Google apps with it, you'd think they would have special features for this browser, but I don't see any difference from how they work with Firefox.

Øystein: Yes indeed! I got to try one of these earlier this summer and it's amazing. On 200mm (320mm equivalent) you can actually visually see the IS working. And compared to the f/2.8 you'll both have money for food afterwards and avoid breaking your back! :-)

Just got a nice set of Shure SE210 for my pod; I like the in-ear style, esp for noise reduction. For office use I have the Sennheiser HD 595.

I have also had the KOSS UR-40, which I quite liked as well. They even fold...

Picked up another set of portapros on the way home today. Last pair I promise. I'll check out the suggestions (but I can't stand in-ear headphones, so those are probably out).

Note that there are two different numberings on this series, and they broke it down into more books. After quicksilver and Confusion, you want System Of The World, not this one.
