Test Signal - 2006
November 3 at 9:52 am - via Bookmarklet - Link
Test Signal involves a large video projection of Colour bars (normally used by video and broadcast technicians to verify signal accuracy) accompanied by a live choir. The Choir commences by singing the sustained tone that normally accompanies the colour bars (440hz or concert A). Their voices are picked up by a microphone and translated in real time to produce the colours of the industry standard Colour Bars. Slowly, as the composition and timbre of individual voices begin to deviate from a set tone the colours follow, modulating the different hues within the colour spectrum. - Flickchart via Bookmarklet

Saw this the other night. Was disappointed. And I'm a big Coen Bros fan. Much of it seemed watered down and artificial, not the genuine committed and heartfelt peculiarity of their other films. Though, I must admit, the audience was laughing more than I was..... - Ňicķ

"Currently in production, the tale of Wall Street investment banker Patrick Bateman and his propensity for killing people in increasingly violent ways doesn't necessarily strike us as perfect sing-a-long material but you can't deny the power of the movie's great 80s-centric soundtrack." - Grant Fitzgerald

""This movie is about a girl cop, part of a special unit whose job it is to kill a new breed of killer walking the streets. They call them engineers and they look normal until you hurt them. Whatever part of their body is hurt is mutated into a deadly weapon. For instance, the first one we see gets his arm blown off by the regular SWAT-like squad while swinging around his favorite weapon, a chainsaw. The arm regrows, but instead of a hand he now has a meaty-chainsaw thing."" - Grant Fitzgerald

"Netflix wants someone to break the movie watching world championship, and they’re willing to [spend] $10,000 to do so. Guinness World Records rules require the contestants to watch films non-stop without averting their eyes from the screen. Competitors will be given 10 minutes between each movie, or approximately every two hours, to refresh themselves. Eating, drinking, standing and stretching are allowed as long as eyes are on the screen. The record to beat for watching a continuous run of movies is 120 hours and 23 minutes held by Ashish Sharma of Mathura, India" - Flickchart
