You will have a great time forwarding it to your friends and family... and, if you're one of those crazy email-forwardin-moms out there, well now you have one more thing to forward on to everyone on your list! Daily Photo - A Lonely Prayer at the Crypt The entire labyrinthian network of crypts in Beunos Aires was lonely and eerie. For a few moments, I thought I saw a ghostly nun floating between the marble and granite tombs. And then I came around a corner, and saw her deep in prayer. I hung back a little before snapping a quick photo. From the blog at www.stuckincustoms.com
Panorama Paul posted a photo: I snapped this tangle of illegal electrical connections at the Du Noon informal settlement near Cape Town yesterday afternoon... why pay for power when you can hook it up for free!? Sadly, I haven't been very active on Flickr this past week... a combination of work overload and a general lack of photographic inspiration. I did manage to capture a couple of really nice sunset shots yesterday evening though... so I hope to be back in Flickring Full Form and visiting all your streams again tomorrow! :) Nikon D300, Sigma 18-200mm at 65mm, aperture of f11, with a 1/1000th second exposure. About Crepuscular rays, in atmospheric optics are rays of sunlight that appear to radiate from a single point in the sky. L Plater posted a photo: Castle Mountain is located within Banff National Park, approximately half-way between Banff and Lake Louise. The mountain was named in 1858 by James Hector for its castle-like or fortress appearance. Following the post-war visit of U.S. president Dwight D. Eisenhower, the name was changed to Mount Eisenhower by the then Canadian Prime Minister W. L. Mackenzie-King. Public pressure forced the name to be changed back in 1979 to its original but an isolated pinnacle at the southeastern end is now called Eisenhower Tower........Wikipedia Castle Mountain, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada (Tuesday 29 Sep 2009 @ 8:26am). opobs posted a photo: In amongst the hundreds of negatives I've inherited from grandparents are a few mysterious ones. This seemingly has no connection whatsoever with my family and yet it is in amongst the glass negatives of my grandfather. The legend on the cab states C Godwin & Smith, Hauliers, Bridgend. I recognise no one on this photo and there are no Godwin or Smith relatives in my family at all. However, it is a charming slice of late 1920s life, presumably taken on a trip out somewhere for a picnic, with my grandfather and his camera present as well!
