Out for an evening on the town with the wife. Just saw the EXCELLENT Avenue Q. Now, dinner!
Haha - didn't realise that Genesis has two incompatible creation myths in it. Take that, literalists (if that's a thing) http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment...
Well, balls. Working until 7.30 on a stupid problem, only to get nowhere and give in until Monday. Annoying.
I can't think of anything more torturous than having a food-based theme on my Google homepage. Well, not right now anyway, I'm hungry.
Er - I accidentally just ate a button. I really must get my chewing habit under control.
well, not *nothing*, but you know what I mean.
@Alex997tt Yeah, that was a good one. Fingers crossed for fusion! Unfortunately it's still not close enough :(
@jamieandrews Well, I wasn't going to name names. But yes.
Hint for gadget designers - when your device is happy, please turn the lights OFF. Nothing more annoying than a bright LED saying "I'm OK!"
Just booked in for the @seriouschange Energy Game on 3rd Dec: http://seriouschange.org.uk/invite...
Bloody hell - my milk from Tesco has a (surprisingly high) carbon footprint on it. That is excellent, now on the rest please.
Oo yay, new website from Serious Change: http://seriouschange.org.uk/. Nice work guys :)

Monbiot once again making me feel positive about the future - erm. http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment...
Phrases of the day (both in conversation with @mrchrisadams at the github meetup): "peer-to-peer review" and "addicted to awesomeness".
@agentGav haha, not seen a "falco" in the wild for a few years. Those were the days :)
Anyone off to the @github London meetup tonight?
@DarkedgeUK Only started watching it last night - not worth bothering with?
Finally, my house is once again publishing electricity data after a months-long hiatus. That is a big win for today. I deserve cake.
My serial port code has miraculously started working on my Mac. Was is me? Was it Snow Leopard? I will never know. Sod it, it works :D
Woo, I seem to have hit 200 followers - thanks @Alex997tt! There are a few spammers in there, but still, it's a nice number :)
I appear to be unable to insure my laptop as it's over 3 years old. Nice.
Damn - gem naming comflict for eeml on gemcutter. How annoying. Will have to rename mine now I guess.
How to rename my gem in a way which implies that mine is older? Can't use eeml-alt or eeml2, both those are rubbish.
I've always wanted an action figure of myself. Less action though, in my case, more sitting down: http://thatsmyface.com/index...
Thanks @frabcus for your thoughts on my blog post from the other day; "openism" is a better name than I gave it... http://www.floppy.org.uk/2009...
@smithsam glad you liked it - I am crap at naming things, it's true :)
This is another messy game of rugby from England. Sad, we know we can do better.
Off to the Guildford Tup to watch the rugby, rain be damned. Though I swear that puddle I just went past had a trawler in it...
@robowaz sadly a new console would be an utter waste of time for me - never have time to use the ones I have!
