So Florida 30Dc'ers how goes it? Are you all starting to see success with your niches?
Date change for meet-up. I'm thinking the Labor weekend is detering people from coming, so I'm pushing the meet-up back to Sunday, Sept 7th. Hopefully this will be more convienent (sp?) for everyone. Tina

Either date works for me. Still way behind, but at least the writing is getting better (I mean easier). What are peoples thoughts on the 30dc stats tracking tool? Is everyone using it? Thanks Tina for organizing a meet up.

Do you have room for one more here, and at PF Changs? I'm also in Orlando so very convenient and very wet. I'm finishing up Day 6, so some catching up to do. So far writing content is biggest challenge as I may have picked a nano niche instead of a mirco.
Always room! Hopefully will make it to PF Changs! Don't think just write is sometimes the best thing to do. You can always go back and edit later.

Hi all, I'm WAY late to joining a group but heard about the Florida meet up (I'm on the east coast near Melbourne.) Unfortunately, I can't make the meet up at PF Changs on Aug 31st due to holiday plans, but I'd still like to join the group! Is anyone having any luck with 30DC?

Welcome aboard! :) The 30DC is teaching me great things, but not seeing a lot of results yet. However, my business is very competitve and doesn't fit the 30dc profile. That just means it will take longer to get results.

Is that google analytics? Or your hosting website analytics? Usually you can see/look up the referring source and that will give you a much better idea of where the traffic is coming from/where the productive links are.

Ed and his team are amazing and what you learn here will for sure get you on your way. IM is a constantly changing business and there is so much to learn. Keeping focused is something that is a must. I am also in a wonderful forum, small but the info we get from the admin is awesome. He is one that loves to test different things out and then lets the members know how well it has worked for him.

A Florida meetup sounds great. How about at the end of the 30DC? We can then share notes, etc. There is also another Florida group that expresed interest as well. Frankly, the soonest I could meet up anyways would be the end of the month.

I have the basics on wp.org but I'm not sure about the Plugins. I'm going to try it both ways.
So what's the verdict? To use WPD or not? I am new to the whole WP thing and not sure how to use the plugins. What do you think? - http://www.getbeyondthewarmmarket.com
Being new to WP, go ahead with WPD with the plans to move to your own domain/wp site when you get comfortable with things. Just realize that long term several of us think the WPD is not the best way to go. In addition, since they make it clear the WPD is actually your site, I'm assuming they will pass to the customer the maintance as well - which I don't think a lot of people understand either.

@Tina; I did some basic research on mlm/direct marketing - yeah, that industry looks pretty swamped already :( If I get a light bulb, I'll let you know.
I made a big decision to start over and go for a "passion" market instead of my primary business. Gotta make a change to make a change, right? How are you doing? Can I help you with anything?

Bummer that your primary business is so saturated. I have the same challenges in my primary business as well. I'm still applying the 30DC techniques to my company's website and also doing another niche that fits the 30DC criterai for fun. As for me, right now I'm designing the website, the part I hate! ugh!! I'm not that artistic :(.

Hi everyone - if you don't understand or know wordpress that well, please be careful with wordpress direct. There are some issues I and others have with it, such as security due to not current version, etc. Also, with these themes, you are "promoting" another company in the footer, etc.
have you taken a look at the plugins to see what you could use on your own WP install?

so theoretically if we just add those and the autoincomemaker plug in we would have a WPD site? I dislike banners and ads that aren't mine and don't like promoting for others on my site unless there is that What's In It For Me factor... just saying..

@James, yep, with the autoincomemaker plugin it looks like you have WPD. I agree about the control and other peoples ads, not cool. Let me know what you think of that plugin if you use it.

Definitely will do. I am going to do everything Ed shows us for the 30DC (even signing up to host gator) I already have a hosting company, however they do not have cpanel and I figure I'd make my money back with a few affiliate sales anyway so why not.

@Tina - things getting better? Have you found your word? If you haven't, and you are open, I would be willing to brain storm for you. I actually anti-network marketing, so you would be safe from me "stealing" your niche :D Even though I'm anti-network marketing, I'm very pro helping team mates.
hi-just looked at this--I am having alot of issues with the key words associated with mlm, nwm and mlm training which is the areas I have been working in. Funny--it probable explains why I haven't been getting the traffic I thought I would!

Great job! I am still struggling with Market Samuri and finding a keyword phrase that fits the criteria around my niche! A bit stressing because I have an eCourse that leads into a product!
