"VirtualBox is a family of powerful x86 virtualization products for enterprise as well as home use. Not only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). See "About VirtualBox" for an introduction. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh and OpenSolaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4 and 2.6), Solaris and OpenSolaris, and OpenBSD." Interesting -- I had never heard of this before. Via the comments on http://friendfeed.com/e...

been using vBox to host my WinXP instance within Ubuntu. had a few hiccups while doing Windows Updates, but otherwise it's been an excellent experience. I'll proly reclaim my 20GiB partition this weekend and kill my dual boot.

I'm running OpenSolaris as guest OS in Windows. The installation was pretty smooth and easy. Great!

I use it with Vista as host & Fedora as guest, never had trouble with it. I also tried VMWare server and got tones of troubles

Hmm, VirtualBox has nothing to do with Java at all, other than the fact that they're both Sun products. If anything, it's similar to the VMware and Parallels products, and Microsoft Virtual PC.

I've used them all, Virtualbox definitely won me over

Using this alongside VirtualPC, both do the trick for me.

"It works. However, you should unzip cygwin along with the 2 .bat files into the USB root directory rather than the "Cygwin for USB" mentioned above. Secondly, X.bat needs to be modified a bit. Well... I managed to make it work"

Tried and encounter some problem. Scribd couldn't find my registered email and created a temporary account for me instead of using my existing account. After merging the temp. one with my existing one, all the converted docs are still sent to the temp account.
