Just off the airfield we have some great video of our snow removal crew in action. Will be posting shortly.
RFD remains on standby for possible diversions from multiple carriers due to conditions at other airports.
Snow Removal operations continue at RFD. Our four high speed brooms are completely dedicated to maintaining Runway 7/25 through this storm.

All flights scheduled in and out of RFD are On Time. Please leave extra time to and from RFD as roads are snow covered.
RFD has been put on "Standby" by multiple carriers at surrounding airports for possible diversions.
We have over 20 pieces of equipment on the airfield right now maintaining safe conditions on RWY 7/25 and Taxiway F.
RWY 7/25 is 10,000 ft long and has a Category II/III Instrument Landing System allowing aircraft to land in conditions like today.
We've closed Runway 1/19 to focus all of our snow removal efforts on Runway 7/25. This is a standard procedure during storms like today's.
Snow crews are busy at work keeping all of the airfield open. Leave extra time getting to and from RFD as roads may be snow covered.
@ChickVacations we have not closed for snow in over 25 years. Do check with your airline though. problems elsewhere can affect our flights.
