PIPE BAND MUSIC -- from Alberta Caledonia Pipe Band #yyc

"Reel, Hornpipe and 7/8s" -- The first track, above, is a series of high-tempo tunes, finishing with an odd time-signature for pipe band music. More and more, of late, pipe bands are turning to Eastern European music for inspiration -- 7/8 time signatures are not uncommon out that way.

"They Took Their Leave" -- A suite wherein the same melody is played in a variety of tune types: slow air, slow air with harmonies, quick march, jig and, finally, reel. It's a great piece.
