"Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil and Frenchman, Abou Diaby on Monday resumed full training after a long period on the sidelines due to injuries. Diaby has yet to feature for the Gunners this season while summer record signing, Musut Ozil last played for the Arsene Wenger tutored-side in their FA Cup quarter-fail showdown against Everton in March. Also returning to training are Tomas Rosicky, Lauren Koscielny and Nicklas Bendtner." - Samuel Nwosu from Bookmarklet

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that star midfielder Eden Hazard is close to first team return after a hamstring injury ruled him out of Chelsea’s last two games. Hazard was injured during the second leg of the Champions league quarter final game against French side Paris Saint German which the Blues eventually won by 2-0 to qualify for the semifinals where they will play Spanish side Atletico Madrid. - Samuel Nwosu from Bookmarklet

omg What a shame Arshevin never turned up tonight. I thought Aragones had lost it when he took off Torres and Xavi. Shows how much I know

Come on SPAIN!!!! Or Russia. Whoever. In the words of Barney Gumble, 'Theyr'e both great teams.'

what the hell happened last night? Who killed Ronaldo and Deco and replaced them with donkeys?

Couple of dramatic matches. Swiss surprised Portugal and Turkey came back to stun us all.
That Turkey game was just sensational. I was sitting there, half asleep, until the last 15 minutes. I still can't believe they did it -- you have to give them credit -- they've got stones. But the Croats will still tear them a new one IMHO - john conroy

Russian football is supposed to be undergoing a renaissance, with huge money being poured into the league there. But the national team is still pretty mediocre from what I've seen. Any1 remember the great 'keeper they had called Dasyev? Played Euro '88 (!)

Christiano Ronaldo headed to Spain? His mother reckons not! She's apparently told him to stay at United.

Croatia v. impressive today. The boy Modric played a tidy game, but it was the team's overall ability to keep posession that impressed me most. International teams from the British Isles are light years behind these guys, Holland, Spain, Portugal etc. etc. in this regard.

Euro 2008: Who's Going To Win?
International football is a lottery these days, so I have no idea. But I'm going for that man Ronaldo and Portugal. They have some brilliant youngsters and some old grizzly campaigners, and I'd fancy them ahead of any1 else. - john conroy
Playing for Portugal will be a million miles away from playing for United. I think at best they will reach the Semi Finals and then game over. I would say Germany are definite favourites and Italy will be close as well. Spain and France have an outside chance, and Holland but they have too many players coming back from injury!! - Joe Dawson
Germany, Holland and Italy in that order. Portugal will do well but fade - Sally Church

Holland tearing Italy a new one. I still fancy Portugal to win the tournament. France were abysmal today

Giovani Dos Santos joining Spurs!! Excellent-- looks like a great talent. With this guy, Modric, a good centre-half, and if we can hold onto the Bulgarian... - http://www.fcbarcelona.com/web...
Spurs looking to finish above tenth this year then? Ninth maybe? - Joe Dawson
I think we're the 5th best team in the country. And I'm not at all convinced by Liverpool. I think we've half a chance of 4th. - john conroy
I think Everton and Man City are better teams to be honest - Joe Dawson
