No no 1) no crunching 2) put noodles in dish 3) pour boiling water over noodles 4) add flavor packet :) 5) no eating raw noodles :P
- martha
Me: *snicker* Shawn: What's funny? Me: People on FF will argue about ANYTHING.
- Alix Whitmire
My wife does that with one particular brand of noodles. Crunch up the noodles, open the package, sprinkle in the flavor packet, chow down. Could never understand the appeal.
- ronin
over fill the cup with water put in microwave. Note mess left by water boiling over eat noodles .
- Moved to Facebook
NO CRUNCHING! I also like them long. However, until you've had the kind normally sold in India, you haven't lived. Loaded with spicy yummy taste.
- Wirehead
We were forbidden to cook on our own. Dorm food or going out was the only option. Still. I do loves my ramen at least some of the time.
- Wirehead
lifesaver :) And I crunch them... and put some additional spices into it.
- ※Fu※
my method (to this day): 1) boil a pot of water 2) while water is coming to the boil, crunch up the nooodlez 3) add to boiler water 4) after a m9inute, add "falvor" racquet and maybe some lunch meat and or some veg or some leftovers from takeaway 5) scald myself tipping out the excess water from the pan without dropping the food down the wash basin plughole 6) eat using a pair of pens...

1. While water is coming to a boil, break an egg into a ramekin and stir to combine; 2. Add egg to boiling water; 3. Wait until water comes back up to a boil and then add some frozen peas; 4. Optionally break noodles in half in package (I don't like them too long); 5. Wait until water comes back up to a boil and then add noodles; 6. Empty flavor packet into a bowl and add a tablespoon...

I follow the no crunching method and I add a secret step in right after adding packet and before stirring. Add a little hotsauce.
- Joe Pierce
I used to do the egg thing like Akiva. The best way is to ditch the flavor packet and the water. Toss wam noodles (not crunched) in butter, garlic and tons of parm cheese.
- BEX
BEX, we used to take these on the trail with us, and there was a father-son team that used to bring a little red wine, and bake up a nice sauce with these. Ramen never tasted so good!
- Ken Stewart | ChangeForge
I only crunch up at work because the available bowls are too small to fit otherwise. Instant noodles are my go-to meal for when I'm sick. Ramen, kimchi, and an egg, which I find generally needs additional microwaving to actually cook through.
- Andrew C
Oh, weren't you bitching about FF stupid posts not making you smarter last week? Well, here ya go. No more bitching. We get to talk about bacon again.
- Eric @ CSTechcast.com
well we know what tomorrow's caption contest will be on Valleywag :-)
- Duncan Riley
There have been too many pics of his naked chest this week.

Yeah, I don't care how many people take pictures of themselves in the shower, I'm not gonna join in that memefest. No thank you. Besides you've already seen my brother in the shower...Remove some weight, adjust the nose a bit and you've got me too...ugh...that's just so wrong.
- Alex Scoble
Tina: I hope they don't do a shower meme. I'm not going to take a picture of myself in the shower, no matter how drunk you get me. *lol*
- Mol, Santa Claws
Is this your entry for the bitch face meme? It's a very disappointingly happy bitch face.
- Pete Delucchi
With all that flyin' around, Twittering, and Friendfeeding, he's gotta need 3 or 4 showers a day. The question is ..... Which soap is he plugging ? :)
- Charlie Anzman
I hope it's lever 2000 messing with Valleywag :)
- Anthony Farrior
hahahahahahahaaa [Edit] Somebody wouldn't give her his telephone number?????

I think an important element to this that isn't immediately obvious (if you don't click through) is that this is addressed to Gary Vaynerchuk of Wine Library TV, who has started to use a video as an email auto-responder: http://tv.winelibrary.com/garyvs-...
- Mark Trapp
This sniffs of a transparent Lonelygirl15 spoof to promote Gary's book, 'natch.
- joshua fouts
Yes, Vaynerchuk's video response to email is significant, and Andrew's dislike of same. I think the video is great, it may be Rocketboom 2.0.
- Dave Winer
I've fallen victim to Gary's auto email reply, with his video link, before. lol.

Useless Tweets: "About to get in the shower" (who cares?), "Fiddling with my blog post"(stop fiddling and post it), "Thanks for the follow"(what is this - MySpace?), "Tired" (you mean "boring"), "BriteKite ____" (I don't care if you are at the Pizza Hut off of route 45), and "Good Night Twitter".
hmm. I like Brightkite, so I definitely don't agree with that.
- Mattie Kenny
I also good night to my twitter pals. I don't think either of those are useless. Twitter creates a dialog and in that dialog location can become important. It's also nice after a long spurt of tweets with some of my friends to let them know I'm heading off.
- Mattie Kenny
Aren't they? I looked twice to make sure they were real. So ... imagine a hot air balloon tour of Holland when the tulips are in season.
- Chris Baskind
Good link, Ken! We need to find more ...
- Chris Baskind
Is this where they grow plasticine haha???
- Joe Dawson
I've always loved tulips. I would LOVE to fly over & see something like this. I'll have to check whether anything like this can be seen on Google Earth.
- Kamilah Gill
Way Cool. I'd love to see them up close. Believe it or not they used to grow bulb flowers like that in Fremont California of all places. But the fields and greenhouses are now long gone, replaced by condos and high tech office buildings....
- Jeff P. Henderson
I remember how fascinated I was as a child when we drove through tulip farms in Holland. It was amazing.
- ※Fu※
We've got some big tullip farms around Holland, Mich, not far from here, but like that is only a town mimicing a country, those farms do not compare to this

There's a similar patch of bliss in Lompoc, California *just north of Santa Barbara.

My favorite. We put in 1K bulbs in our beds for a spring display.

A thousand bulbs? Wow. I hope you post pictures the next time they're in bloom.

"Project manager Ron Butler left behind a 48-slide PowerPoint presentation explaining his tragic decision to commit suicide, coworkers reported Tuesday. According to Williams+Kennedy president Bradford Williams, finalgoodbye.ppt was "clear, concise, and persuasive." "After everyone left the room, I sat down and went through Ron's final presentation in slide-sorter view," Williams said. "Man, I gotta tell you, it blew me away. That presentation really utilized the full multimedia capabilities of Microsoft's PowerPoint application." "We're really gonna miss Ron around here," Williams added. In the presentation's first section, a three-dimensional bar graph illustrated the growth of Butler's sorrow during the two years since his wife and only child died in a car accident. "

wow. I can attest that being a Project Mgr. has MAX stress at times... Funny he used a freakin' PPT to deliver his final message. We use (overuse) PPT and many of us find them annoying / stressful as this is a tool we use to communicate, persuade, motivate and shape project deliverables / stakeholders into action. My heart goes out to him...how sad!! Reading that onion piece was *weird*
- Susan Beebe
I found it difficult to press the "liked" button
- bcultral
Susan, was it you who revived this? It doesn't seem so oniontastic as just sad. Bill Moyers' latest has a great onion shoutout (and Lithgow interview)
- Richard ¿digame? Walker
yeah that one was sorta lame...fake my friends into thinking I really care :D
- Susan Beebe
I mean... I use twitter quite a bit but never have I come up with ANY items of this list? I mean is this level of thought really necessary for *gasp* Twitter!? I think not.
- Nicholas Kreidberg
Susan, I have to admit that thought did pass through on reading #5. ;)
- Melanie Reed
I'm looking for a software package that will prompt me to follow this plan. Can't tweet a plan, can I? Can't follow a plan without prompts.
- Michael Markman
or you could just rename this list "how to get un-followed in 6 easy steps".
- Brian Roy
Personaly, I don't use them the same. Facebook status I use as just that, a "what am I doing" update where as Twitter I use as a microblog with different content and a different audience. A lot of the people I follow in both places use it similiarly so I don't believe a public status added to the api will have the result you expect.
- Jamie Dool
I'm with Jamie. I don't use them the same either. Perhaps I need to reexamine the way I use Facebook, but I am not into it the way I'm into twitter. Twitter updates feel different. They feel a bit more urgent and the audience seems to want the links I share and share a whole heck of a lot of knowledge back with me. I am seeing so many old friends, acquaintances, third cousins and the...

Best way to 'kill' twitter : Buy twitter, select all, hit 'delete'.
- Will Higgins™
Facebook cant kill twitter and thats why it tried to buy it. But paying in facebook stock in these times was not such a great idea. Twitter will thrive. If it does not get a business model pretty soon I expect google to purchase it. By end of 2009 is my prediction
- Sidharth Dassani
I agree with others in that facebook is not used the same, except I would add to it that I don't think their audiences are the same either. Twitter users seem to be more for business and professional. Facebook is more private and personal. You also forget that what you post on Twitter is put into a live stream. This is not the same as simply allowng for a search on status. It allows someone to find people that interest them. facebook relies more on you joining a group.
- Simon

Sidharth Dassani- I expect google to purchase it. I would agree ,
- johnpiercy
There ARE public status RSS and status IS already available in API. The Mac Software "Facile" makes use of it.

Somebody said "Facebook is for people you knew; Twitter is for people you'd like to know". They may seem the same, but they're completely separate worlds.
- Jordi Soler
Click on rooms, then search for rooms. The more FF users you subscribe to the more "popular rooms among your friends" you'll see when you click search. There were almost none there when I first started using FF and now I also have "popular rooms among everyone" (or maybe that is because I clicked on Rooms from Everyone instead of from Me?) I'm still learning FF myself.
- Internet Strategist
I think the best way is to look at everyone's rooms. Even when you aren't subscribed to them. Can learn about some new rooms that way too. Also, don't ignore inactive rooms. You can start posting the right things in those rooms and the room could go through a re-birth!! A comeback like Brittney!! :)

Old ad theory. The idea is that you don't consciously notice the faces, but your mind picks it up, anyway. In this case, the message is "Buy this broccoli and your family will be happy." I can't help but look for images in ice cubes I see in ads. Lots of interesting stuff. Or I need to get out more -- one or the other.
- Chris Baskind
I wonder if carving the teeny little faces is outsourced?
- jcunwired
Chris, is it really that prevalent? I thought that kind of thinking went out in the 70s. Maybe just an easter egg? Look grandma, I'm on the produce!
