Woodstock native Frank Gruber has helped launch an online site called Thankfulfor.com, a place where people and businesses can post things that they are thankful for during the year and share it with a community. Visitors can post through Twitter or Facebook and spread the “good vibe message of gratitude far and wide.”

Two entrepreneurs in the Washington area in September launched Thankfulfor.com, an online gratitude journal that's shared through social networks so people can feed off one another's thanks. The site also offers gratitude to-do tips for the holiday season and recently launched a gratitude challenge, asking people to commit in November and December to write down daily three to five things they're grateful for.

Long-time blogger and tech executive Anil Dash announced today at the Web 2.0 Expo New York that he's leaving publishing software company SixApart and will head a new technology incubator called Expert Labs. Expert Labs will be dedicated to connecting technology innovators ready to build tools with government officials who can put those tools to use in the public interest. It's a vision that differs from what some other technologists are focused on with regards to the government.
