"Seems like 'rebaflames' would come with the cost of a higher cognitive load for the user, no? While friends/followers/etc have drawbacks, they benefit by being familiar."

"Think we could solve those in 24 hours? ;) Seriously though, glad you like the product and keep recommending sites that should be recognized. Oh, and help spread the word too!"
- Fraser
That is the thing. You don't have to go out of your way to use it. It integrates into your everyday usage.

That is if you use FireFox though, and I don't :/ Chrome up in here :)

Of course I've got a Glue account, but can't say I use it a lot. I occasionally hit the 'I like this' button, but that's about it.

@Holden Well, I've talked to them about that and they have told me that as soon as Google opens up Chrome to add-ons they are ready to go.
- Mathew™ one of a kind
@Holden, Mathew is spot on - we'll have a Chrome add-on when Google enables add-ons for Chrome. In the meantime you can start building up your taste profile at GetGlue.com :)

"Thanks Matt! It's a good sign if it's already suggesting things you liked. This means it's starting to learn your tastes. Like those items, built out your profile, and start to discover new items :)"

"I also think that tapping into social search in some sense will be a winner in the travel market. When it comes to finding a hotel, I'll take a single review from a trusted source over many other forms of filtering."

"My former roommate, @tonybgoode, runs the co-working space in manhattan (not an easy task, considering the rental rates!). He's a huge proponent of this thinking - you should definitely connect with him."

"Hi Shana, thanks for providing some insight and feedback. We want to be the place that takes your web activity for every day things - books, movies, music, etc. - and turns it into usable information: suggestions / recommendations. Some categories are already solid (i.e. books or movies) and others require a few tweaks (i.e. topics). Keep the insight coming :)"

"@geoff, if you're going to take a minute to write support, you can be sure that we'll take a min to respond. it's the richest ways to connect with our community."

"Hi Chris - Alex Iskold is the founder of AdaptiveBlue, the company behind Glue. You can read more about the group here: http://getglue.com/about"

"It's time for innovation. And if it's not going to come from their development community (the group responsible for Twitter's innovation over the past 24 months) then it falls to them. It looks like their betting big on re-energizing the development community with the list API and the geo API. Will this be enough of a spark? We'll see."

"some posts are so thoughtful and complete that it's hard to add to the discussion, so I thought I'd share my $0.02. I keep seeing more and more twitter-like usage from friends on Facebook and I wonder - what that means for twitter (considering all of what you have mentioned above)."

"I continue to get the most joy from Twitter's ability to provide that social sixth sense. I still read nearly every update that's sent to my stream. At one point I got caught up in the broad communication potential of Twitter and started to follow more people. I remember hitting 210 people, looking at my stream, and realizing that: 1) this wasn't manageable; 2) I'm not interested in the day-to-day interactions of some of these people; and 3) many people were broadcasting solely promotional content. So I unfollowed many of them. This probably won't come as a surprise, but the number I fluctuate around? 150. Here's to good relationships and the art of listening."

"I've been scheming about my ideal audio set up for a while now - and am close to pulling the trigger. I'm not sold on Sonos over: airport express hooked up to speakers, streaming my itunes collection. Am I missing anything?"
- Fraser
"Agreed - check out the paragraph before the conclusion. It discusses this (with links to a diverse set of artist searches that return: (i) their site; (ii) wikipedia; (iii) myspace in the top 3. Yet again (most likely) the power of Google on display."
- Fraser
"Dean - good point. Some of the sites are more feature-rich for US visitors than individuals from other countries. I think the strength of Wikipedia is that it's accessible for everyone and (generally) info rich."

"I'd like to voice further support for this. Doing cohort analysis has produced the single best insights into how people interact with our service. I suggest starting as rudimentary as possible and then expanding from there, if needed. No need to make it complicated. Also, if you're local to nyc and are interested in applying a rigorous metric process to your startup you should consider joining the lean startup meetup: http://www.meetup.com/lean-st... the events, and discussion list, are all about this."
