Raspberry Crystal Light dissolved in water...
- Chris Reed
Moosehead? nice. I love Moosehead. How come I haven't drank any of that since college? 1979 Opus One Pokai? Woah! Remind me to sign up for the next party at your place.
- Thomas Hawk
hmmm good point Mark, but since you can't post images in FF conversations it looks like links to photos with booze in them will have to do. Here's sex blogger Melissa Gira with a glass of red. http://www.flickr.com/photos... She and the wine look good.
- Thomas Hawk
Tanqueray and tonic with lime (except no tonic or lime b/c I'm lazy). TH is making me consider opening a bottle of Kistler, but wife is asleep and she'd kill me if I did that
- David Thomas
Aquafina. Though I am thinking about chasing it with a shot of Nyquil.
- Karim
If I wasn't sick, it would probably be a Clare Valley Shiraz. As it is, water. How dull.
- Michael C. Harris
Ah, Frederic one upped me mentioning the Vodka he's using. I'm drinking Pearl Vodka from Canada...with Schweppes Tonic water and an Organic lime twist
- Mark Krynsky
Tonight is Thirsty Thursday at the local baseball game. $1 beer and $1 hot dogs. Course I will pay $2 instead to get the ice cold Bud Light from Ed... the beer man.
- Becca
Is this the kernel of an idea for a sister service to Twitter? Sippr: What are you drinking? It could support images of the drinks, links to recipes. http://tinyurl.com/6mhqv6 is taking things up on the listening front. Listnr: What are you listening to?
- Brian
@Frederick. No flickr doesn't have private favorites. If someone wanted to privately fave though they could create a second account and use that one privately. B Adventures is an interesting concept, a different twist on the photo a day sort of thing. I admire the commitment and endurance to a project and art like that. I thought she'd do it for a few days and then stop, but she's been at it for a while now.

This woman spends a lot of time self-absorbed in the toilet.
- TranceMist
I followed her for a while, but after about 100 bathroom shots, it lost its luster.

A gallery of portraits by Phillip Toledano of phone sex operators (via Kottke). Operator pictured above: “I never thought I would work in the phone sex industry. All those years doing customer service, my customers would comment on my sexy voice. I thought I was being professional, not sexy. This work is customer service. It’s just your customers leave with more than a smile.”
- Jennie Lin
Really? I find it kind of fascinating... there isn't a reason why anyone can't do this if they want to.
- Jennie Lin
"Good friends are like fat thighs... they always keep in touch."
- Jim Norris
Funny... Spike Lee's "Girl 6" was on this evening... It's about a particular phone sex operator, and one of the lines in the movies from a caller was "I heard all of you girls are ugly, is it true?"

terra210: yeah, sorry, sometimes I get pulled into the World Wide Highschool. :-) I do track who is cool, based on their products and services. Male vs. Female geeks are tough. I try to fight that, but truth is most people I come in contact with are guys, so sometimes I fall into that trap. Thanks for the kind wishes!
- Robert Scoble
Robert. Thanks! Never knew about these guys. Looks veryinteresting.

Awesome, AWESOME interview Robert. SlideRocket was the missing link to my online office suite software mix. Thanks for posting this piece.
- Frederick Johnson
Definitely looks worthy of consideration for integrating into site-good point.
- Mark Forman
check out Zoho Show 2.0. Prrrrrretty.
- john conroy
Nice interview. Robert - you get them talking, then get out of the way (as it should be). Easier said than done!
- Noah Carter
John: I'm definitely going back to Zoho. Would love to see a comparison of that to Sliderocket. Sliderocket sure has a nice interface. Going to be tough for Zoho to beat that.
- Robert Scoble
Although.. the twistage player needs a parameter to stop autoplay. Annoying.
- Phil G
finely, someone is showing of FLEX, But Powerpoint with sharepoint can do many of the stuff around keeping slides up to date and sharing data.... they just made it easy to access which is Microsoft biggest problem.
- Rif Kiamil
Not just an interesting product, but the way he handled the demo was very good.
- Jed White
Can Sliderocket import existing PPT files? I'd love to be able to bootstrap Sliderocket with the slides from my existing library of PPT slides.
- Tom Wentworth
That's amazing!! I will definitely start using it for my Medical Group presentations and break-the-mold of our boring PP slides.
- David Cook
fastcompany.tv is down, Sliderocket looks great, going to pass that on to my friend who's an organiser of top medical conferences, she hates PPT!
- Dave Pook
@Tom: From what they discussed in the interview, I believe so.
- CannonGod
@Tom: Yes it can import PPT, but no export yet. So you need a working internet connection for your presentation or their offline player (adobe air).
- Benedikt Koehler
Philipp, don't use Lightroom yet. I use Bridge/Photoshop for my workflow. Have to get into Lightroom though. I'll probably make the switch with the new upcoming version of Lightroom.
- Thomas Hawk
Looking forward to upcoming TWIP podcast.
- jcunwired
Lightroom looks great for managing photos and doing everyday editing, I'd use it if I were a photographer. Photoshop can do it all, editing-wise.
- Shey, Jamaican of FF
This is great -- Thomas one of my two favourite photogaphers (Bill Wadman is the other --- via Thomas Hawk --wish Bill was more a part of the online social network)
- Brian Sullivan
Adjust the focus field of a photograph AFTER it's been taken and is out of the camera. - New 3D camera, uses multiple sensors and capturing multiple focal points. Marc Levoy showed Robert Scoble and Thomas Mark similar research at Stanford in 2007 http://www.podtech.net/home...
- Mitchell Tsai
Like the Dolby Digital sound research I saw in 2007, where they want to on-the-fly compute music for your speakers to produce sound which feels like it comes from the physical locations of the musicians in the original room - rather than pre-compute some 2-channel stereo and 5.1 tracks.
- Mitchell Tsai
""The rape suspect was described as a black man, 5-foot-7 to less than 6 feet tall, medium build with a dark complexion, in his mid 20s. He has a short Afro, brown eyes, a large flat nose and no facial hair. He was wearing a tan T-shirt and jeans." If this had happened in Los Angeles, with that description every black man would be a suspect... oh, wait. D'oh!"
- Frederick Johnson
"It seems like it would be relatively simple to write a bit of iPhone/iPod software to allow video and audio streaming from the AppleTV directly to the iPhone/iPod. I'd love to not have to store large movie files on the device, but still be able to view them while connected to my home wi-fi network. My mind is spinning... Zune anyone?"
- Frederick Johnson
"This phone is just amazing. My mind is spinning at how elegantly it will replace my *new* Samsung Blackjack and my 80GB iPod. Also, just think of the 3rd party software/hardware that will be developed for this thing... GPS, messaging, presentations, etc... Its kind of what the Newton probably would have evolved to. I predict the next generation of iPods will be exactly like the iPhone.. but without the phone of course. That will be crazy!!! Zune anyone?"
- Frederick Johnson
"The reporter was an idiot, attempting to mask his lack of market knowledge by talking over his interviewees. I hate that... very Cross-Fire-ish."
- Frederick Johnson
"I love my iPod(s), but hurray for Microsoft putting out something that even remotely resembles competition. I look at it like Microsoft is beta testing new features for the iPod. If people enjoy sharing songs between devices, you can bet Apple will implement it... only better. So few people will own Zunes (at least to start) that the sharing feature "its best selling point" is effectively null. Unless an enterprising 3rd party comes out with some device to allow iPod Zune connectivity (unlikely). I feel sorry for the poor dork who gets a Zune for the holidays and spends his days looking for someone to share a song with. And how bad he'll feel when the next shit-hot iPod revision hits. Zune will be sitting on the shelf right up there with the Creative Rio."
- Frederick Johnson
"Who gives a #&^$ what they call it?! As long as it works better than all the other crappy phones we have to chose from, they could call it "iAss" and I'd still buy it."
- Frederick Johnson
"The site should be named "Guess Secret", and really... I know it's exciting to know what the product announcements are before hand, but really who cares? Unless you're looking to get some inside info for stock trading purposes (Martha Stewart). I mean, it's more exciting to wait and see the goodies as Apple intended. Just like it's more fun to open your gifts on Christmas morning instead of peeking the night before. I just don't "get" all of the spy-vs-spy stuff."
