Yes, "open" to friends only, just with the understanding that whatever segregation of Lists/Circles they want to use, their "friends" might share their posts outside the original circle intended. "OMG you told him that!? No Way!!!" I'm thinking teenagers here. For kids younger than 14, "appropriate" can be quite relative and I'm not so versed in the options for teaching social networking in middle or elementary school. Imbee? Togetherville?"

"I manage gApps accounts for about a dozen agencies and schools. A tool like G+ could be a huge asset where teachers are wanting to teach social networking in a semi-controlled environment. I agree it's ridiculous G doesn't roll out tools like Wave, Buzz, G+ to their Apps customers first."
