Configuration options: var redirectCurrentPage = true; //Set to true to redirect to current page with secure connection. var forceInternalLinks = true; //Set to true to reset all internal links (friendfeed.com and ff.im) to secure (https) references. var forceAllLinks = false; //Set to true to force ALL links, even non-friendfeed domains (warning: many sites do not support secure connections in which case the link may not route you to a working page). - Micah
What would be gained by that, I wonder, it's not as if what transpires here is of potential life- or even privacy-threatening order? [Tsk, tsk, everyone… let's Micah 'fess up, what was he thinking? ;-))] - ianf ⌘
+1 ianf - It sounds like a nice idea, and it might be useful for some, but I don't see why everyone would want to use it all the time. - Tyson Key
Most of the content here is public, what's up with https? It's going to slow down everything. - Burcu Dogan
ianf, talk to some of the people friendfeeding from China (I was first alerted to such interest in the wake of the friendfeedTranslate script release) - Micah
Also, talk with Chris on this thread http://friendfeed.com/friendf... - Micah
No, I won't talk to Chris. I asked, you provided an answer. Had you written it up right from the start, I wouldn't have asked. As far as I understand it your script does SSL tunneling on a page-by-page level (after explicit invocation), which probably is a better momentous solution for security-evading Chinese, than wholesale, and thus far more "suspect" for that, session encryption. - ianf ⌘
Here's my comment on the other script that references the SSL request: https://friendfeed.com/friendf... - Micah
