The portability of your del.icio.us bookmarks is great but you always end up looking around for a password manager (again preferably sitting in the cloud accessible to multiple platforms both desktop and mobile) such as ipassword on the Mac or Roboform to get you into those sites requiring logon so tends to be half the process for me? At the moment ipassword and Roboform are platform specific but i know ipassword is developing a web based solution not sure on roboform.

@Mike - I like the way you have been using FriendFeed for research and early adopter temperatures. It is a good idea.
- Franklin Pettit
Searching your bookmarks is very slow.
- Morton Fox
Morton : why don't you use tags instead? Or do you mean that it's slow even with tags?
- directeur
I would like to see more social features - e.g. send me an email alert when someone joins my network, allow me to comment on other people's bookmarks, recommend other del.icio.us users who share the same interests, etc.
- Mike Doeff
@Franklin thanks. Friendfeed has truly become a powerful research tool, in some aspects more powerful then Google. It's amazing watching this rapid transformation take place.
- Mike Fruchter
The fact that you can't find out anything about users. I can find that X bookmarked a page and what other pages they bookmarked, but what about their other outputs; their blog, Twitter, Jaiku, FriendFeed. It's a dead end. I've blogged about it before, http://pastoid.com/xu+

the more I use Diigo, the more I see what delicious is missing. I named some in my article, but I am starting to pick up a few more now. I'll save my thoughts for another week or so :) I won't say Diigo is perfect, but it has what delicious doesn't.
- Tim Hoeck
Thanks Mike. Keep the input coming guys.
- Mike Fruchter
A better UI and everything that Diigo has.
- Corvida
What's bad in del.icio.us UI? I find it so simply intuitive. In the other hand, the home page of Diigo scares me that I didn't signed up
- directeur
I agree with Mike Doeff 100% here - Del.icio.us may be good to bookmark and even search for others' bookmarks but it is not even remotely social. But we call it SOCIAL bookmarking, right?
- Svetlana Gladkova
UI, some social features and multi-word tags support
- Dobromir Hadzhiev
It seems the release of del.icio.us 2.0 has stalled.I know a lot of people are hesitant to jump ship and go with another bookmarking service. What will it take for you to jump ship?
- Mike Fruchter
Mike no need to jump completely, new tools can work with multiple services, I still push to del.icio.us for later reference, mainly 'cause of the handy extension, but now it doesn't work with FF3, frustrating isn't it
- Dobromir Hadzhiev
I just wish del.icio.us would mirror the page when I bookmark it. :-( MyYahoo did this but then they bought del.icio.us.

@directeur yes the API rate limit does suck -- also wish there was more emphasis on the social aspect of bookmarking
- Shey, Jamaican of FF
@Shey: I think the social side is well held... I have tons of people tagging stuff for me, I have a network, what else can we think of? :) And to answer the UI concerns, I myself will program a new client if yahoo decides to make the UI "complicated". I love the UI, it's simple, clean and does the work.

Ability to delete from the inbox and pull in stuff from feeds and automatically apply tags to them as described here: http://tinyurl.com/5rwkyb
- Andy Davies
Tags management is a beast, and that really sucks as I would really like to reorganize my many and ugly tags. The API limit is another one. Lastly, search. I would hope that the search not only searches by tags, but by the content of the post. Because of this, we see a lot of recommendations to build a Google CSE over your delicious bookmarks so that you can search them by content as well.

I don't think there is a way to block spammers. Like the guy who has 3 links, one of which is "the best of porns in one place"
