Spammers will invade Friendfeed at some point at what level, that remains to be seen. It’s too early to tell at this stage of the game. Friendfeed needs to implement the tools and mechanisms now while in the early stages, rather then playing catch up later on. Comment spam is the current flavor on FF. How long before the other flavors of spam latch onto Friendfeed? I do a agree as the community grows, it will become increasingly harder to combat. - Mike Fruchter

Remember, personalized filtering algorithms like the ones coming from NoiseRiver will help a lot more than top-down authoritative architectures. A spammer won't be in my social network; it'll be a newcomer without posting weight for a bit until they interact with things going on.
