It's like a puzzle. You look at small pieces but you don't have the bigger picture until those pieces are assembled. Since mom's stoke on Wednesday, the concern was that she's sleeping a lot. The origin of this concern was a comment from the ER doctor. It turns out that his comment was based on the initial brain scan which did not show swelling. Twenty four hours later, the second scan showed the swelling and extent of the damage. It wasn't until today, when my brother talked to the attending physician, that we learned that mom's sleeping is a good thing. She's resting until the swelling subsides. This is expected. It's good news. It's also frustrating to get small pieces of information that you try to understand without having the big picture. I understand that it will take time and I'm not expecting immediate answers. I'm just hoping to get enough pieces of the puzzle to interpret what's going on. Tomorrow is another day... and hopefully we'll have another piece of the puzzle....

On my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard, I used WinClone to create a backup of the 32 GB Boot Camp partition which I need to make large for the WIndows 7 install. There was no problem creating the backup to an external drive. Next, I went into Boot Camp Assistant where I deleted then created a larger Boot Camp Partition. I tried to make a 50 GB partition but it failed (screenshot 1). I kept trying smaller sized until I finally was able to create a 39 GB partition. Unfortunately, this won't allow me to upgrade to Windows 7 yet, but I wanted to complete the process to ensure this will work if I can free up some more space. Using WinClone, I restored the Boot Camp partition but when I go to launch it in VMWare Fusion it give me an error about the partition table changing (screenshot #2). I tried to import the Boot Camp partition but it says I don't have permission nor does it prompt me for credentials. Import was actually the wrong step. I rebooted my system into Boot Camp and Vista...
