"Which Linux distributions does Hulu Desktop support? Hulu Desktop for Linux is currently built on Fedora 11 and Ubuntu 9.04. The packages should also work on any Linux distribution with glib2.16 (such as Ubuntu 8.04+ and Fedora 9+). Other configurations have not been tested."

I installed it on my Ubuntu x86_64 box. It works like a charm.

Is it any faster than running Hulu through the web browser?

"The mouse’s many features may be a bit overwhelming for a beginner, with assignable buttons and tabs for iTunes, browser and Facebook controls. The best way to get familiar with it is to watch the demonstration video on the Air Mouse Web site. Many fans of the app also use it as a remote for a computer running a TV or have used it to control a presentation while roaming a room."

I have this, but I prefer iTap for its ease of use

2nd vote for Snatch that I just installed to control my Mac Mini running plex. Really nice with downloadable remote templates to run Hulu app, iTunes, Keynote and a bunch of other stuff. Pairing was very easy and worked more importantly. $3.99 on app store is cheaper than Air Mouse I think.

"Julien Madérou is a French Industrial Designer and is the genius behind this Paper iPhone Dock. He states on his blog that he always knew he wanted to be an industrial designer and no matter what side projects he works on; he never forgets that. The great thing about the Paper iPhone Dock is that it's a free PDF that you just download and print out. If you want something a little more sturdy, get thicker paper!"

I made this dock by using amazon's envelope. It looks nice and can work well.

I made one yesterday with some cardstock. It wasn't heavy enough to support the weight, so I added some extra pieces of paper on the back for reinforcement. Looks and works great! Oh I love the red one! I need to color mine or find some red cardstock! <3

i want to make this, too. carmen, that sounds about right -- weight of the paper.

"Pi Cubed is a visual math application for the iPhone / iPod touch that lets you perform calculations as you would on a piece of paper. By using an animated, touch-based interface, even the most complex mathematical expressions can be entered and instantly evaluated. These expressions are typeset as they would be in a textbook or on a blackboard. Calculations are displayed with up to 34 digits of decimal precision. Additionally, a library of over 150 equations ships with the application."

I was thinking of buying it, but after reading this, I'm hesitant. What didn't you like about it?

The app is as good as any GPS out there but the reality is that the data for Puerto Rico really suck. You can't find anything unless you know the exact address. For instance, the example everyone uses to talk about their GPS function is finding the closest Starbucks. Well I was parked AT Starbucks and it never found it. Also the naming of the streets in the map is awful. For instance I...

Thanks for trying it out for us, and I hope Apple is cooperative with the refund. Another point for Google Maps is that on top of being free, any one can go to maps.google and make their own custom maps. If you make them public, anyone searching for business will see your new POIs. So I urge everyone to do their part and contribute to the borGoogle and help keep it up to date :)

Let me clarify my statement. I would (love to) buy the TomTom GPS app if it were $9.99. At $99.00 I think it's ridiculously expensive given it's handicaps with Puerto Rico locations.
- Albizu Garcia
I agree. I'd happily pay $9.99 for an app that at least talks me through to the predefined waypoints on my iPhone contacts. But for $99.99 I'd expect a full, populated POI database. This is why they should have gone with a saner base price ($20.00?) and let you use In-App Purchases to buy individual state maps ($9.99 for main highways and such, up to $50 for a full, every possible POI...

I agree with the argument about the TomTom App being too expensive, but you need to understand that what you are actually paying is for the proprietary TomTom maps. which like Albizu said they don't work in Puerto Rico (like they are suppose to). I own a real TomTom GPS device and for getting around its great, I have no need for the iPhone app.
- Rafy Mediavilla
Speaking of Google Maps. That's another problem too. It says that there's a street that goes through the yard of the neighbor behind me and connect the two "urbanizations" together. This is a big error on their part and when using Google Maps for directions on my iPhone it wants me to drive over a wall and over my neighbors yard to get to my destination. Google claims that you can "fix...

Albizu's comment is probably more a criticism towards the state of GPS devices in general. I have a $150 Garmin unit in my car and it's pretty much the same: incomplete maps (though not too bad), wrong names, small listing of businesses, etc. And even worse, like everyone said, these devices don't feed off POI web data like Google does. What you're buying here, though, (as Rafy said) is...
