I manage three accounts through their website, and for two of them I can find the automatic payments I have set up and change them, but for the other, nothing I click on gets me the list much less lets me change them. Makes me wish Google would do online banking, I'd switch in a heartbeat. - Dave Winer
Would you trust Google with your financial/banking info, though? I'd have to think about it a little bit first. Is that too much information in one spot? - Rick Castello
I worked for BoA for years doing UX stuff ... the multi-account aspect of Bill Pay is definitely one of the more challenging pieces of it. That said, I think it's a bit over the top to call it the *most* aggravating piece of software ever ;) - Clay Newton
After I solve this problem it'll probably seem silly. But tomorrow I'm going to call their tech support people, and if I remember correctly that'll take five calls, each time explaining who I am and then being told how I didn't get it right (they have names for every kind of customer that make no sense to this customer). I want to just change one number. And feeling so out of control with my own money is pretty aggravating. - Dave Winer
I use BofA bill pay all the time and haven't found any issues with it. It's fairly fast-moving, the UI is decent, and I haven't encountered any errors or noticeable bugs. - Nathaniel Payne
If you want to stay sane, I would try to avoid the tech support... I seriously would try to help, but I have avoided the multi-account thing myself! Good luck and I hope you work it out. - Clay Newton
Go to Citibank. Much easier. - Andy Wibbels
Bravos, Dave! Chase keeps telling me at sign in that they don't recognize my computer. They require me to get a code via email or phone. Enter the code and password and I'm in. Here's the thing, my signs on are 90% from the same computer, the same ip, the same freakin browser. Tech support once told me "Yeah, but you are not signing in 100% of the time from the same computer" - Dave Martin
Need a Citibank or Wachovia app on my iPhone. =) - Ernie Oporto
Get out of BoA as soon as possible. Was a damn nightmare when I actively used them. They nearly destroyed my credit rating due to an error in their system. - James Mowery via twhirl
Well, I called them at 7AM, and it was a bit of a struggle, but they showed me how to do it. I wrote down the instructions and put it in a place where I will trip over them next time this happens. Whew! - Dave Winer
Totally agree. I despise their online experience. AND California and WA. are not linked too. It's like two completely separate banks. BofA is up there on my list of most hated companies I seem to HAVE to do business with... - Ryan
I think it sucks that BofA charges non BofA customers the highest ATM useage fees I've seen regularly. Yesterday they charged me $3 to use the ATM. I'd think I was in a casino or something. These days I avoid BofA ATMs whenever I can. Other banks seem to charge less more like $1.50 to $2. If I have a choice in ATMs I'll always avoid BofA if possible. - Thomas Hawk
I've used their bill pay exclusively for years and haven't had any issues. My biggest complaint is that I can't set when I want to mail the check. Rather I only have the option of when I want it to "arrive." - Bill Sanders

sheesh, thomas, use a bofa debit card overseas, 3% of the purchase, off the top, atm, 1% ... they are crooks, my local bank has much better service and rates - gregory lent

On August 1st, 2008, starting in the morning, over northern Canada, observers on Earth could watch this years only total solar eclipse. While a partial eclipse could be seen over a larger area, the shadow of totality passed over Greenland, Norway and Russia, then evaporated into the night sky over China. Here you will find a collection of photographs of this eclipse, and people here on Earth, taking it all in. - Mahdi Ebrahimi via Bookmarklet

Unions suck - Jeff Quinton
If it were not for unions, many people would still have feudal working conditions—read the history of the U.S. from a worker's POV and you may change your mind. - Cathryn Hrudicka

i shouldn't like it because it is kind of low to throw eggs at people (i would never do it), but it is kind of funny. - Chris Harris
Though I would like to see egg on the face of Steve Ballmer and Microsoft, this act should be condemned. Violence, in any form, should be condemned. Microsoft's and Ballmer's butt should be kicked on the business and technological innovation turf. This is insane. - Krishnan Hussein Subraman

I've thought of getting the Reader, and I already have a Kindle. I've heard rumors the next Kindle will be more like the Reader, so I'm waiting for that. Other than industrial design, my biggest feature wish is a comprehensive set of travel guides. - Chris White
I have a Kindle and have not used a Sony Reader, but I can tell you the wireless is a key feature. - Scott Ludwig
I've been reading ebooks on an old Sony PDA for a while now, but I'm looking forward to the iPhone 2.0 which is IMHO a better size and weight for reading ebooks than either the Kindle or Sony, which are a bit too bulky and heavy - especially for curling up in bed or slipping into a pocket. It'll have wireless like the Kindle, but for the same price (or less) it'll also do phone and music and movies and apps... - Rick Castello
