yes, in general one can use the - (dash aka "minus sign") to exclude results ... for example, search "-service:twitter foo" would exclude results from twitter, but would find references to "foo" in all other services

Actually, if you try to add this feed (by using the Custom RSS/Atom service) to an imaginary friend or a group, it does not work. It says "We could not download the given page". Any idea why ? (whereas I can add it in netvibes...)

Nor can one add to a group a feed which would origin from FF. I usually work around it by having the feed parsed via Yahoo!pipes and fed back.

yeah, one friendfeed feed can't be added directly to another friendfeed account or group. putting the feed through an external site like yahoo pipes is one workaround, feedburner is another good option
