"On July 15 LucasArts publishes The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, a re-imagined version of the first game in the series that adds updated high definition graphics, a re-mastered musical score, and full voiceover to the classic adventure game originally launched in 1990."

"BioWare may still rely on hack and slash violence to keep the game-buying masses satisfied, but it also sees the possibility in mass appeal games that don't rely on combat mechanics. Instead, BioWare creative lead Greg Zeschuk envisions mainstream games driven by story and acting, not "battle moments,""

"Kaizo Mario World is a quite particular japanese rom hack which was brought upon everyone's attention by Wolfshirt on the forums. It is another one of those typical rom hacks, which are all about minimal game editing (I mean, the overworld map is almost exactly the same!), while making the game extra difficult. However, Kaizo Mario World do elevate the meaning of the word "difficulty" to a whole new level. No area in this game will spare you. It will brutally slaughter you with close to impossible jumping feats, dastardly obstacles, and a lot of very nasty and quite unexpected traps."

"Times are tough, money is tight, and new consoles & games are expensive. But older consoles and games? Much cheaper, and just as good! Think back to the years between, oh, around 2000-2006. A lucky few among you would have owned all three gaming consoles, but for the majority, a lot of great systems, and great games, will have passed you by. Maybe you owned a PS2 but not an Xbox. Maybe it was the other way around. Maybe you were at college, stuck on an old PC and an N64 and lacking the cash to try out the "latest" consoles. Maybe you were never aware the GameCube even existed. Maybe it was all of those, maybe it was none of them. Doesn't matter! Thanks to a happy coincidence of an econcomic crisis, generational timing and the continued availability of games for these machines, there's never been a better time to try some of yesterday's best games. Catch up on what you may have missed out on. And catch up on it on the cheap. In this guide, we'll be presenting you with everything you need to know about "

Just created and produced a card game- PowerMage 54 (http://www.powermage54.com) Its a strategic and addictive superhero playing card game that is based on a highly modified traditional deck of playing cards. - looking for any feedback on the site or the cards.
It would be funny to reply to her saying "Please let me know where the location of the money is, I've done this before, do you need my creditcard number?"

like this one: "Releasing a sequel a year after the original is the least valve-like thing I've ever heard, I wish this was just a DLC and they were announcing Counter-strike 2 or Half-life 3 or something new entirely."

Not sure I'm excited for Assassin's Creed 2, they've got alot to redeem themselves from, but I am quite hopeful for Beyond Good and Evil 2.

why should there be a "girls division"? doesn't that kinda play up to some rotten stereotypes like "girls versions of a console is inevitably pink"? great way to make a distinction between gamers that will serve to only ghettoise girls in gaming even more
- alphaxion
my GF is sat next to me saying "this is making me sick to be a girl that plays games".. bearing in mind she's getting into the industry to make the damn things. I guess she isn't the target market, but I see it as a very bad sign of "these games are for girls and these are for boys, never the twain shall meet". It's lazy games design to slather a title in pink and glitter and get them to do "girlie" things such as messing about with hair.

oh wow, this beats Microsofts entire conference.../wrist

aye, which I hold similar notions of disgust to.. I was in a toystore when a father and his kids go past (one girl, one boy). The girl goes "cool, cars!" and he says "those are boys toys" and drags her off to the mashmellow pink section filled with dolls... is that a female engineer lost?

but they were claiming to be cleaning up their act and getting away from the habit of iterative games where the only thing that changes is pretty much the box art and intro screen. so much for that then!

Sorry Bwana - I am watching the stream on IGN - I think there is big delay between those of you watching live as compared to me.

considering there's loads of sith - which goes against the doctine by the time of vader as there were too many power struggles, they kept it to just 2 sith.

Whatever it is, it sure looked slick as hell. I really need to see it in person to believe they've pulled that kind of facial recognition and motion gesturing off.

This game already looks awesome, but I suppose it could even be extended to cooperative network multiplayer, by having other players represented by small helicopters hovering over the battlefield.
