Halil to Halil's feed, gardening, Nature
My mystery hollyhock, got some pics today as promised; on closer inspection I now believe it's a malva, only thing is I've never seen one with such big leaves or a growth habit like a hollyhock. It's not a lavatera, so a cultivar of malva is my best guess, especially when you look at the flower. It's a classic malva bloom. I'm still not 100% sure.

Last 3 pics are a familiar compact bushy malva growth, with a single bloom, same location. By the way, this was taken with my mobile and it doesn't have auto-focus, so did the best i could --- fyi, Turkish people eat malva, it's a delicacy for us :-)
