Hi! You've connected to 'The People Development Guy'. I am a people's coach and human resource management specialist. I specialize in bus. & life coaching.
"An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) Indian statesman
Learning techniqes.jpg
When "preaching" equates with being talked-down-to, "doing" always trumps "lecturing" according to pedagogical research. A coach/teacher is wise to initially explain what/how to do something to eliminate wasting a learner's time. But, humans learn most effectively as outlined by the graphic here. This is why wise instructors require drills/problems, for example, to be done over and over in sports/math so that a learner gets plenty of practise before having to perform. - Gary Patton
Diversity Advantage: "To celebrate diversity as an asset rather than simply tolerate differences as deficit sets the stage for high-performance outcomes!" ~ Ellen Weber Tweet 2010-10-29 Ref: http://www.brainleadersandlear...

Disadvantage: "The danger of diversity lies in the politically-correct, multicultural belief of some that the practises of all cultures are accepted as having equal value with all others!" ~ gfp '42™ - Gary Patton

Who Defames the Prophet? by Raymond Ibrahim
Written by an Egyptian, Ahmed El Aswany, and appearing in the popular news website, El Bashayer, this OpEd and cartoon are hard-hitting. The writer asks even harded questions that need to be asked given the amount of persecution of Christian by street Muslims, now, not just Islamists, throughout the world. - Gary Patton from Bookmarklet

"Appreciation is like looking through a wide-angle lens that lets you see the entire forest, not just the one tree limb you walked up on." ~ Doc Childre and Sara Paddison, U.S. authors & brain researchers
Brain as core of life force.jpg
The researchers at HeartMath have done ground-breaking research on the body-mind connection of our heart and brain and the dis-stressing managing ability of appreciation, caring, love, etc.. You can read about it in non-technical articles at http://is.gd/Or49Ql . - Gary Patton
"Guard well within yourself that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose without regret, how to acquire without meanness." ~ George Sand, pen name of Amantine Aurore Lucile Dupin (1804-1876) French author

One treasures 'kindness" best & easiest as a 'lover' like Ingrid Michaelson sings at http://is.gd/zpDd03 - Gary Patton
“You can observe a lot by watching!" ~ Yogi Berra (1925- ) U.S. baseball team manager You may even see your man boobs and belly growing.
Wheat Belly Cover.jpg
I did! So I did some research. I discovered to my horror that modern, hybridized wheat is killing wo(men) worldwide. It's also giving both sexes bulging stomachs, which are especially deadly for women, and estrogen-induced man boobs or "moobs" to men. Despite the claims of the food industry supported by so-called disease-care professionals, science has proven it is much-touted but toxic "whole wheat" and other hybridized grains that are digging for us all, inexorably, an earlier grave than necessary. You can read the Blog review by a Physician of another Physician's book "Wheat Belly" at http://diigo.com/0mx75. - Gary Patton
"A man who governs his passions is master of the world. We must either command them, or be enslaved by them. It is better to be a hammer than an anvil." ~ St. Dominic aka Domingo Félix de Guzmán (1170-1221) founder of Catholic Friars Preachers (The Dominicans)

"Doing your passion can make you feel like King Kong on coke! But like all drugs, passionate activity has two sides. Guard against the dark side of yours!"~ gfp '42™ Your comment? - Gary Patton
We're all wise to heed the warnings about pornography in this article ...especially young people. http://www.wildcat.arizona.edu/index...

No wo(man), regardless of faith, is immune from the dangers of Mr. Sin. And pornography is one of his deadliest addictions that will destroy both our bodies and our souls! - Gary Patton

Orthodox Rabbi reveals name of Jewish Messiah on death bed & timing of his "return" tied to death of Israeli PM. http://youtu.be/k0DTT3u2JZ8
4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse.jpg
Interestingly, the manner in which the Rabbi reveals the timing of Messiah Yeshua's return does not violate his own statement in the Christian New Testament where He says at http://is.gd/amuwY6 that no man or angel knows the date or the time of His return. - Gary Patton
"Don't just be social ...be relevant!" ~ Anonymous

Thom Singer, a U.S. Conference Catalyst, makes some compelling observations re why many of us need to get our acts together on social media in a short Blog post at http://is.gd/sp4Ugf. - Gary Patton
"Wives, submit to your husbands ...!" ~ Ephesians 5:22, Christian Bible
Husbands & wives, Christian.jpg
Too many Christian men and their preachers do not want to acknowledge the truth that Holy Spirit designed Ephesians 5:21-28 at http://diigo.com/0mu19 to be read as a set. His intent was NOT to halve off verse 21 from 22 by an unscriptural footnote as in many modern paper Bibles. Too many men, love to ignore verse 21 and only emphasize verse 22 to the detriment of women in the traditional, western church and their homes. They deserve their wives derogatory comments as in the above cartoon! - Gary Patton
"That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well." ~ Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) 16th President of the USA

Music inspires some, but what gives you fire in your belly, gas in your engine and the drive to do your best? Intrinsic motivation, the only kind that lasts, is a leader’s dream come true! Is there an answer that applies to all human beings? Might there be a universal principle, or set of 'em, that apply to us all? What do you think and how do you feel? - Gary Patton
Why You Can’t Afford to Live Without Integrity http://diigo.com/0mr15

You can’t afford to live without integrity because of the incredible reward available for those who do so outlined at http://diigo.com/0mr4l . - Gary Patton
"The strength of a man's virtue should not be measured by his special exertions, but by his habitual acts." ~ Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) French mathematician, physicist, writer & Catholic philosopher
Superman.JPG
Do you agree with M. Pascal? I feel that one's reward at the end of life comes not because of who you are and what you've done but on Who you know, personally, for when you stand before Him. And Jesus said He only rewards finishing well as it says at http://diigo.com/0lk6j . - Gary Patton
"What goes around, comes around, Gary!" ~ I. Donelda Patton (1914-2004 ) A street-smart Mom
Payback, movie.jpg
The proverb in my last post was one of my Mom's favourite 'Sayins', as she called them! Mom shared it regularly when she spotted me or another treating her or someone else contrary to the "Golden Rule"! God brings this Sayin to my mind, regularly, to remind me that our every act has consequences. And even when we think something isn't a "big deal" or that we "got away with" an inappropriate behaviour, He, if no one else, will hold me accountable for it ...some day! gfp - Gary Patton

"We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory ... when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature." ~ Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) 16th President of the U.S.A
Lincoln, Abraham 2.jpg
The concluding sentence of Mr. Lincoln's "First Inaugural Address" above at at http://is.gd/E6peHF was a valiant attempt by the newly-elected, U.S. President to keep the Union he loved together and the Constitution he was swearing to defend intact. His pleading also is a heart-felt cry we all can ponder as the cry of God's heart for our continuing to love, forgive and be reconciled with those with whom our relationships have been broken. gfp - Gary Patton
"Throughout the Middle East, the "Arab Spring" has turned into "Christian Winter" while it remains "Christian Autumn" throughout the rest of the Muslim world! ~ gfp '42™

"Men have forgotten this truth, but you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed." ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery (1900-1945) French author and aviator [from The Little Prince]
Man, Cat Tamer.jpeg
The one beast man has never been able to tame is the beast within himself because the tamer must be Another, contrary to what Saint-Exupery says above! - Gary Patton

"The main dangers in this life are the people who want to change everything ...or nothing." ~ Nancy Astor aka Lady or Viscountess Astor (1879-1964) first woman member of British House of Commons
Astor, Lady.jpg
The extremes of anarchism and passivity are indeed two dangerous ones as Lady Astor said in my last post. I fear the latter more ...especially among Christians who forget Jesus was a peace-waging radical! gfp - Gary Patton
"A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this world. He that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them will be little the better for anything else." ~ John Locke (1632-1704), English philosopher and physician
Locke, John.jpeg
I agree with Mr. Locke's quote in my last post providing one's sound mind includes a heart-felt choice for a personal relationship with Jesus, the Living God. - Gary Patton

"The difference between non-violent and violent, jihadist Islam is that most street Muslims believe it is Allah's will for the world to become Muslim. But the violent Jihadists read in the Qur'an that it is their job to cause this to happen in their lifetimes using every means possible including murder." ~ gfp '42™
