Well, looks like everything is working right now, had to add a some sources from the PPA to get direct rendering working. But I had to do that with Jaunty also. Now to focus on other stuff... like dealing with +15k articles in google reader. :|
Found a conflict with gstreamer, which keep pidgin from running, had to downgrade some packages. But that's what you get when you start using 3rd party source, still have more to do, but going to grab the camera and walk outside for a bit.
*yawn* up, picking up where I left off on the upgrade, re-installing 3rd party sources, making sure things work the way I like, etc...

Well, it's done. There was a few errors on several package, stuff I didn't know I had installed. And the program just quite, so I don't know if it completed properly or not. But I'll check and see what apt-get install -f says, but anything more will have to wait, the bed calls... and is sounding much better than the keyboard. :)
Seeing 1:36am again tonight, will be very happy when they stop monkeying around with the clocks... #time
