Make mac and cheese, chill it to set up solid, cut into squares, sandwich grated cheese in between two slabs, then waffle the sandwich. - Andrew C (✔) from Bookmarklet
Ugh, link is 404 for me. :( - Derrick
Weird! It's 404'ing for me now too. But I swear it was there, I read the whole thing before I shared it here. It also had a kinda risque joke on the front page summary that was dialed down a few notches in the full article, so perhaps it's still being edited. (paraphrased, it was like "some things are on a lot of people's bucket lists, including a little playful light bondage", which was downgraded to "skinny dipping"...) - Andrew C (✔)
Also, they went through a few false starts first (mixing mac and cheese into pancake batter, sandwiching it with bread) before going with just mac and cheese directly in the waffle iron. - Andrew C (✔)

"Well I've gone and done it, I've now pointed my domains to my +Google+ page. Specifically to a search address that shows all the tidy stuff (not the status update-like posts etc.). My other blogs ( being the main one) are sitting there collecting dust and no one reads them plus I'm always on here so it makes sense to move my "blogs" to Google+. In addition my Google+ #Currents edition is exactly what I want from a blog. It uses the content I already post here, has categories (Sections), a front page and a TOC. It works on mobiles (via Google Currents anyway) and easy to maintain The layout is basic but clean and there is nothing extra for me to do beyond what I already do on Google+. Both use hashtags queries so thank goodness I've been adding them since the very early days. I'm also thankful that I've been formatting my posts and reshares for a while. It has benefited the presentation on Currents, for one." - Kol Tregaskes from Bookmarklet

How to Make Calzones (And Freeze Them for Later!)
"Calzones are a favorite in my house, not only for a relaxed weekend dinner but also for wrapping up, freezing, and eating for lunches all week long. Lunch or dinner, they're the perfect little "hot pockets" (ahem!) of cheese, veggies, and leftover meat. Here's how to make them." - Derrick from Bookmarklet

Homemade hot pockets sound Awesome. - Kamilah Reed (K. Gill)
I've had a real hot pocket exactly once. I bought it out of a vending machine and it made me sick. I hope to have better luck with these homemade ones. - Derrick
I wonder what kinds of cheese work best. - Rachel Walden
I had to live off of the broccoli, cheese and chicken Hot Pockets for a time because I worked nights (6p to 11p and then 3a to 8a, back to back; it was Hell) and I had time and budget constraints. Those were the only truly palatable ones. I had Pop Tarts, too, and a few other things, but the food all had to be very fast and simple. My life sucked. But that particular flavor of Hot Pocket wasn't too bad. (The chicken could have been less like lunchmeat and more like actual pieces of meat, but, oh, well.) - Kamilah Reed (K. Gill)

Eons ago, Napster had ALL of these Big Mama recordings that were of her earlier stuff and ton of old blues & jazz from the turn of the century, where they didn't even know who was performing. If they still have it, you should check it out. I've not been able to find them anywhere since. - Anika

My dad listened to a lot of jazz in the 60's, my mom listened to a lot of Motown, folk, classical, and soul. I grew up on 80's golden age hip hop and 90's gangsta rap, but I'll be damned if one of my favorite albums of all time isn't Paul Simon's debut solo album. #SaturdayFF

There are so many problems with Hobbit 2 that I don't know where to begin. Too exhausting to think about.
I think the root of the problems stems from less than 30 minutes of the 2 hour 47 minute runtime actually occurred in the book. - Mark Trapp from iPhone
I'm a big Tolkien fan, and I really like the LotR movies, but I have found it impossible to bring myself to care about The Hobbit movies at all. I haven't seen any of it and I'm coo' wit' dat. - Akiva
Mark, it's assailable even without considering how it fails as an adaptation—the wheels come off as a narrative film, period. From the two steps forward, one step back pacing to flat out amateur moments of editing—EYELINE, LEGOLAS, EYELINE! The barrel escape was like a video game sequence, rocketing full throttle into parody of the genre. I need to stop now. - Micah
Oh. One point of redemption: Count the dramatic-stare-into-the-middle-distance-Thorin with locks of hair flowing in the wind like Fabio on a Harlequin book cover—that's the making of a rock solid drinking game. - Micah
Oh I agree (both about Thorin and the wheels falling off), Cinema Sins had a nice rundown of mostly everything wrong there: I guess what I was pointing to was that while Jackson can do a serviceable-to-great job when he's sticking to Tolkien's source material, he is pretty awful when it comes to anything else. To me, the weakest parts of LotR and the Hobbit 1 were when he was straying from the path and trying to leave his creative writing mark. - Mark Trapp
Yep, good point. I understand the temptation for Jackson, it's human. Too bad it's so often a losing proposition. - Micah
I don't understand why it needs to be three (2.5 hour+ long) movies. - Derrick
Don't worry. The next movie is only a couple of chapters long: 15 minutes tops. - lris
Derrick: Because that's the kind of movie Jackson makes, and he's getting away with it. I imagine the Superduper Blu-ray Extended Versions will be >3 hours each. (As for a couple of chapters: "Meanwhile, in Slightly Upper Middle Earth...") - Walt Crawford
