D - About the time I reached the age where I could start to understand and appreciate my father, he died. As I've hinted at before, we were never "close" in the way that I attempt to be with my daughter. It's not an easy thing to do D. I mean love is a good start, but there's understanding and patience and probably a host of other virtues that don't come to mind that need to be in the mix. Having said that, it's worth it.
