Hey, in virtualization, the guest OS is not able to use hardware that is not recognized by the host OS, correct? For example, Windows as a guest OS would not be able to utilize a TV tuner not recognized on a Unix host.
You mean there has to be a host driver for a guest driver to work? I think this would depend on the virtualization software. It certainly should be possible to work without a host driver, but there may be reasons for restricting it, or it may not have been implemented in a way that allows it.

"Unemployment in the Valley is now higher than it was after the dotcom bust. The job market is so bad that some folks are giving up, quitting the tech industry, and going into healthcare (and green-tech, which isn't exactly thriving right now, either). Desperately awaiting the next big tech boom... (Via WSJ)"

I recently bought a GeForce 8400 GS 512mb PCI card (not PCI-e) to run World of Warcraft a little better. I was using a GeForce FX5500 256mb OverClocked with 1g of RAM, but beefed it up to 2g of RAM because of the new card.
