Yes, NEVER burn indoors. Noxious gases! RT @caroldn: @geekcoach that's interesting! As long as it's used only outside (as you well know!)
@caroldn Another useful disaster kit item - disposable instant grill. Re-usable & recyclable too. http://bit.ly/IqHS4

Judging by the smoke from neighbor's chimney and how hard it's pouring, guessing we're smack in middle of the famed PNW Convergence Zone.
Aaaand, now there's some clearing in BLVU - okay, maybe just 'ordinary' T-storm cells? Time to go satisfy curiosity w/ peek at the radar...
TFTD - Guard against thoughts, words, and actions that cause the very problems we fear.
@caroldn That is correct, which is why flood risk is deemed reduced, not (mostly) eliminated. Plus - full fix still not complete anyway.
@caroldn Never can eliminate all risk of flood anyway. But current work on dam is only part of long-term fix.
@caroldn Basically - we're better off than were before (imprtnt step), but not as far along as we'll be when work is truly complete.
@caroldn My understanding is they needed Nov rains to know anything. Rain is here, so they're getting useful data that is apptly 'good'.
@caroldn A certain amount of skepticism is always worthwhile. I am with you there even though I tend to be an optimist in other respects!
@caroldn Yes, reduced likelihood of Green River flooding is def good. They must be seeing good test results of the work they've done so far.
Concerned about the Ft. Hood tragedy, I missed news RE Bellingham MS fire until non-local friend asked. Sad day all around.

"I love when a kids' movie can be readily enjoyed by adults even without a younger person in tow. Maybe it's just because my own background as a TV weather person, but I loved this movie. It certainly was far deeper than I'd have thought from the trailers and the descriptions. A free screening of Lives of Others? If you enjoy art films, you'd be crazy not to go. The tall guy and I really liked this one a lot." - Kimm
Yesterday's exciting acquisition: Inflatable toast. Did not know there was such a thing. Didn't know it would appeal to young teens so much.

@caroldn Glad to hear you're unaffected. As w/ natural risks, majority NOT hit. Still stressful tho & that's why I offer tips :)
@caroldn Wonderful to see you too. Hope this means more opportunities to connect - all exercises and no need for the real thing :)
